Now I enjoy the original 60s Addams Family.

I’m a fan of the 90s movies.

I’ve also read some the original 30s to 80s (yes the strip lasted THAT long) New Yorker magazine comics


Wednesday takes all that RICH history.


And mangles it until it’s unrecognizable.


They someone ruined or missed the mark for every character.

Not even Tim Burton could save this flaming bag of poop.

The 2019 film is also a flaming bag of poop.

Let me rephrase that.

It was boring and generic.

It also stole the premise of the (also meh) Hotel Transylvania

Or maybye it’s just me.

Just a warning if you do decide to engage with helluva boss: they do not take kindly to any form of criticism at all, and this comes from someone that is part of the fandom himself. People will either treat you like you admitted to using soap bars as dildos, or they’ll try to make up some bs excuses for why the problem in the show exists. 

Basically, the whole environment in the fandom is that of “this show is actually good, and if you disagree, or have any problems with it, then you’re wrong.” Some will even take it personally and call you a “hater”, or accuse you of hating on vivziepop. Constructive criticism is a foreign concept around those parts. 

These people are normally referred to as super fans, or “stans”, but I personally like referring to this specimen as “Air Conditioners.”

By the way, Blitzo is 169% one of he most overrated-ass characters in the show. He treats his employees (specifically Moxxie and Millie, or their dating initials M&M) like shit, constantly stalking them, sexually harassing moxxie by poking his “baby dick” even after he asked him to stop, threatened to rape both him and Millie, berated moxxie when he had a brief panic attack, constantly calls him “talentless”, and when he stalked them to Ozzies, he “defended” them, by saying the way they made out was so ugly, it made missionary look good. 

Oh, and this is also the type of show to shove in random dirty jokes that feel like they were written by 11 year olds into scenes that are supposed to be serious, like when crimson turns out to be an abusive father to moxxie, they have a 40-second scene where he presses a button and a bunch of dildo’s come out. 

Most of the fandom disagrees, but I personally think that “Stolitz” is an awful ship. Stolas and Blitzo go together about at well as broccoli and apple pie. 

I could go on and on, and the reason I say all this is because this show truly did have potential, but they are constantly sacrificing story (like cutting the backstory of Millie’s relationship with Chaz) in favor of jokes, and the writing is a huge mess of biblical proportions. The concept is unique, the character designs, voice acting, and animation are great, and I will admit, some episodes are amazing, but the bad, or even outright insufferable ones far outweigh them.  

And if that didn’t convince you the fandom is insane, they also hate the character Chazwick Thurman with a passion. Apparently, blitzo threatening to rape moxxie and millie, as well as sexually harassing and stalking them is a-okay, but forcing someone to marry you and abandoning that same someone (moxxie) at a bank during a heist is absolutely the worst of the worst one can possibly commit? (btw, the marriage and robbery are all things chaz did, just to clear things up.) I call bullshit (That rhymed).

Not just that, but I genuinely got attached to his character when I first saw the episode “Exes and Oohs”. I wanted to see him evolve beyond being a fuckboy with a great singing voice, but noooo. They just decided to kill him off at the end of the same episode he was introduced in, and called it a day. That ending was just dreadful.

…At this point, I should probably make a thread specifically for this show. I will give it this, I did like some episodes like “Mammon’s Magnificent Musical”, “Oops”, and “Loo Loo Land”, but then we go back to my earlier point of them being outweighed by the bad episodes like “C.H.E.R.U.B”, “Seeing Stars”, “Exes and Oohs”, “Western Energy”, and “Unhappy Campers”.
