The problem with the MCU for me is that the films really do be formulaic/samey when you get down to it IMO. Yes, I understand there were multiple directors and directing styles, but there's a reason why "MCU formula" has become something of a meme online. I like a lot of the movies and really like 1-3 or so, but I don't really love them. I do wonder if I was a mega big comic fan if I could enjoy them more, I just didn't grow up with comic access so sadly that could never be the case. But I would be curious if anyone who IS a mega comics fan could chime in with their thoughts on the MCU here.
Was Young Justice too slow for you? I sound like a big baby here but the pacing felt way too slow for me to get into. I just got bored, as much as I tried to respect the artistry and talent. The fact that I had never seen the OG Teen Titans show may have had something to do with it, but I dunno.
You don't have to have grown up with comics to enjoy the MCU, I never read comics featuring any of the characters in those films and I still enjoyed them and while there is something of a formula I do feel the films overall differentiate themselves enough, that being said I will say i was not a fan of the first Captain American movie and I was pretty eh on the first two Thor movies.
