Thought of something else i'm not overly fond of- the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials, I remember being at my grandmothers house and groaning whenever those fucking things were on, I just found them boring as hell and didn't find them appealing to look at in the slightest, still don't care for them now.
When it comes to RB i'm way more interested in their 2-D animated stuff then any of that stop-motion crap. Just a personal taste preference.
I used to Instacart for Costco, I don’t really understand the appeal. It’s so unpleasant to shop there. People always wanted the cases of water. The tap water is safe to drink where I live, but even having a Brita water filter is so much cheaper than buying the cases.
For saving money, it probably isn’t that cheaper unless you are someone who needs to buy bulk constantly. Like for people who need supplies for a group home or nursing home. But your average couple is probably going to save more money shopping at Walmart or Aldi instead.

i CAN'T understand the appeal, they don't even let me in without a membership

If you tell them you are getting a flu shot, they will let you in. Their flu shots don't require a membership and is a good option if you are poor without insurance. But you won't be able to buy anything in the store because checkout requires a membership.

The main people I know who are obsessed with Costco are those who "just have" to buy in bulk, or in super large sizes or quantities. I personally can't eat or drink enough before I get tired of any one food or beverage (and/or it expires) to justify going there.
