What is your “I didn’t care for The Godfather.”

I never liked the Outsiders. My middle school made me read it in 7th grade, and I thought it was one of the most boring things that I've ever read. Like, it just felt like it had no plot. The only things I remember were some kid getting pushed into a fountain and a redhead named Cherry. Even worse, after I read the book, the whole grade watched the movie. Surprise surprise, it was just as boring as the book (but yet it basically followed the plot of it more than the Percy Jackson movies, SHAME!!). It was so boring, in fact, that when I thought of that one Roblox meme below while I was watching the movie, I kinda chuckled. Yes, a Roblox meme is funnier than that movie.



Also, I never read any of the Harry Potter books or watched its movies because I thought that it was just a bunch of boring British stuff. The recent behavior of its author didn't really help, either.

Speaking of books, while I like some of the themes, some of the writing, and (maybe) 1 or 2 notable scenes, I have never really liked Catcher in the Rye, and would describe it as #richwhitepeopleproblems. Like not too dissimilar to what you would see ultra rich prep school kids complaining about on Instagram today.

Strangely enough, I really like Perks of Being a Wallflower (inspired by CitR）, maybe because it felt less pretentious.

Peppa Pig. It was this brainrotting show on Nick Jr. that involved a narrator literally saying what was happening onscreen or what happened afterwards in order to pad the time & because the showrunners thought that kids were SOOO stupid that they couldn't tell what was going on. And the theme "song" is 100% a warcrime. The spider episode can also be considered racist towards Australians since the episode portrays spiders as friendly beings when this is NOT the case in Australia... or really anywhere for that matter. There are definitely some horrifying & dangerous spiders in the USA as well. There's also Olivia & while it had no narrator & may've had more intelligence & maybe a better theme song, the pigs looked awful with their soulless thin eyes on such disjointed CGI models.

A fair bit of CGI Thomas episodes & specials I didn't really care for in comparison to the original rail model series, which were very intelligent & surprisingly deep for a supposed pre-schooler show. Even still, a fair bit of the CGI seasons weren't too shabby & are still better than Peppa Bacon over here, who just won't go away.

Also Caillou, specifically the original series. Terrible voice acting, a bad attempt at making it look like the children's book & in earlier seasons he was a stupid brat with parents who had more patience than I have. Then there's its opposite counterpart, Horrid Henry, which revolves around a neurodivergent kid whose parents are just a few inches away from physically abusing him or straight up murdering him. Johnny Test was sort of a better balance in that Johnny was still a brat, but not overly annoying. His parents weren't overly patient, but nor were they udderly abusive. Still though, that show dipped in quality after season 3 & the fart jokes I hated.

Yeah I tried getting through Catcher in the Rye(It wasn't required reading, it was just a book my school happened to have that you could read during study hall periods)and it was boring as fuck, didn't care about Holden and frankly i'm not sad about it not getting made into a movie because of the author's estate as it would be unwatchable.

I'm unable to get interested in any Vtubers or content creators whose content is nearly or entirely exclusive to livestreams. Perhaps it is my ADHD limiting my focus, but I cannot become immersed in the content the same way I can with those who upload more concise things. I see many people who are extremely invested in Vtubers specifically, and while I admire the concept of that kind of streaming avatar and the technology.. it feels almost.. I can't find the right word. But it creates this strange disconnect to me between the avatar and the person actually creating the content, if that makes any sense. It makes it more difficult for me to feel invested in having that grey area rather than the content and creator being entirely separate or entirely together.

Yes! You've absolutely hit the nail on the head with what I was trying to say. It creates this peculiar grey area between content and creator that is never usually there with works of complete fiction or content involving the creator directly. That makes it feel strange to see people heavily attached to Vtubers and sparks the question of if they're interested in the real person behind it or the persona they put on to stream.. it makes trying to get invested feel a little too complicated for me.

yt shorts has been the worst for its entire existence. I hate it, if you want to watch good short videos, go use tiktok. TIKTOK for the love of god.
