cuz some kid is gonna snatch their moms id and have access, and P3dos can access if they have an Id too.
How do strangers gain access to somebody else’s identification card? Does the bill seriously outline that?
you read my post completely wrong, if the P3do has an ID themself, then they can access the internet. And if a kid steals their moms id, they have access too, in which there both in the same place and thats not good.

How is that any worse than it is now?
Also, it’s the parents fault if they’re irresponsibly handling their identification card.

which is why children should be monitered in the first place.
Heard in a panel in a speech/discussion from a certified, trained, and highly experienced state attorney that a "mass privacy ID law," if somehow passed, WILL 100% result in people being doxxed and personal info being leaked.
Not sure if true either, but supposedly, a VPN is "privacy" in practice, but if you get an error message of any type, that COULD be logged and your actual location MAY be traced from there. Gulp.
Heard from some real life people in states where these "privacy ID laws" have passed, they are just using other sites for the time being and/or a VPN. Even with mature content providers in foreign countries, they tend to want to get along with Americans for political/diplomatic reasons, so that's why it's hard to use the argument: "How are we, American gov't, even able to SUE foreign owned companies off the free internet and/or force them to comply with US laws if they don't want to (assuming it isn't for outright super illicit materials)?" This especially applies to Canadian owned sites apparently-they apparently really, really like to be on "our side" if possible, especially where "THE CHILDREN" are concerned (rolls eyes).
Discussion also tied current/future laws in with the Backpage/Craigslist/Tumblr scandals of the past with certain types of content ALL being labeled "deviant" and mass scrubbed away regardless of the actual content matter, how it was presented, whether it qualified as "artistic," whether it was educational, the statement it was trying to make, etc. Because of more pressure pushed on content HOSTS/PROVIDERS by various groups, the content hosts have decided that instead of going through individual pages or posts with human aids, they can just mass delete truckloads of content on a whim IE the onus is being pushed more and more on the hosts/providers instead of targeting the individual "problematic" content creators as it may have been in the past. Scary! Think of that school district that just used AI to ban 15+ books, which included books that I READ in my private conservative Christian school and for enjoyment in my conservative Christian home 10+ years ago. FOR %^&$'s SAKE. Books that depicted and viewed the same content matter completely differently on top of that!
And following that line of logic, the fear there is that social media companies will be forced to censor more and more of their free speech posts via government intervention to make it "safer" for the kiddos (SMH). Of course, these sites are privately owned, it is in their rights to censor speech, but it will be very worrisome if the gov't cracks down on them for any reason other than outright illicit, illegal material. Think a repeat of the B/C/T debacle mentioned earlier except even more widespread.

According to the speaker, several more states are proposing similar content ID laws in the future to the ones already on the books in Louisiana, Utah, Texas, and Virginia. Sadly, I forgot them and should have written them down, but all of them are "redder states" except for California, which is quite surprising.
On a related note, a judge blocked Arkansas' "social media age verification" law so that's a nice step, and Texas's law has also been blocked so there's that.

Has Elon Musk said anything about it?

It probably will be soon enough.

This is giving me paranoia. This would mean that I am at risk of some p3dos coming into where I live, ganging on me & doing unspeakably awful things to me while no one is around to help. I have paranoia & mental issues COMBINED, so this bill is taking HUGE advantage of my mental issues as a way to make me go into depression.

Maybe you should consult with a professional then. I highly doubt that any of the things you’ve mentioned would happen to you.

Yeah, that isn't normal to be that afraid, friend. These bills have come and gone as another poster mentioned, and hopefully this one fades away too. Second the therapy suggestion.
The real risks here IMO are loss of access to vital health/life saving information for vulnerable individuals (think: LGBTQ+, BIPOC, non-religious, etc.), leaking of personal info which can then be exploited for illicit purposes (blackmail, fraud, monetary theft, identity theft, etc.), an inability to debate controversial topics such as we are doing here, being unable to confront actual problems like misogyny or bigotry, an inability to access life saving drugs (such as miscarriage related ones), etc.
Think how according to some news outlets, China isn't even allowing prominent speakers admit there is ANY sort of crisis in terms of the youth unemployment rate or property crisis (let's just NOT publish those youth statistics, and if you do, then you are censored immediately!). Or Russia not allowing anything other than glorious news of their "offensive" in Ukraine. Or North Korea not allowing anything whatsoever that criticizes their leadership in any way. Or Iran not allowing discussion of women going without hijabs. NOW imagine being censored/blocked/removed for daring to discuss any of that on social media. Like if you are viewed as sympathetic or critical of the "wrong" group IE not towing the line ____ group wants you to tow, then BOOM, content scrubbed. Heck, maybe with an AI or algorithm of some type, not even a human being. Want to mention "murder" uncensored on a crime themed post? Well, too bad, because a 6 year old might see it and get "scared" so now you have to mega censor it with tons of fluffy rainbow unicorn vomit, assuming you can post about a crime at all! Exactly.
