i've actually posted about it! it was this weird abc book with a narrative where the pilgrims and natives lived in harmony until the pilgrims went "fuck them lets kill them"
This randomly popped into my head: I read a young adult novel sometime in the early 2010’s about a girl who grew wings and her parents sent her away to a community for people with wings. I don’t really remember much beyond that, sadly. I’m thinking it was a relatively new book.
Was it Maximum Ride? Sounds pretty similar to that. It's from 2005.
It could be but the cover doesn’t look familiar and I am not sure if it was part of a series.
What are books you read that you've never found again.
I remember reading a book when I was 3 years old and just learning to read, it was about a guy with a magic wand that can be turned into any object, and it can be duplicated. He gave the wand to different children to make them happy.
I tried to search for that book around my old house when I used to live there as a kid, and I don't remember if it was a book from the library or my mom bought it. Anyways, I tried to search up the story since I would probably have enough money to buy it again, but nothing showed up.

I can't remember what it's called or the author but it's part of a series that teaches lessons. This particular book was where this girl's mom were telling her not to do things.
The Girl does it anyway and it ends up with her going to the hospital after touching a burning stove.
A book about a boy that does everything fast. Throughout the book, people tell him to slow down. At the end of the book, he goes to sleep really slowly, and people tell him to speed up. I think the cover showed the boy, but that's all I remember. It also has nothing to do with The Incredibles

Book I read once, children's or middle grade book, was about a labour union in a Canadian cheese factory taking place in the early 20th century or possibly the late 19th, was in the format of a diary kept by a young girl living with her sister who was working on a dairy farm in Ontario. One of the characters was a suffragette working at the factory. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
A book i read back in 6th grade about a girl and her younger brother wakin up in a world where everyone over 13 is just vanished (or died??) and theres a civilization in a school and some kid gets his face melted off with hot oil

The Girl Who Owned A City
Was GONE based on this?
I'm nothing but a mass of concrete yet my heart is calling my name

OH MY GOD I owe you my life that book has stuck in my mind for a literal decade
oh ! there is one that I would love to find again. If anyone takes the time to read this I would be very grateful.
I got it from my local library as a kid, it was in German but I believe the original language was something Scandinavian. Fantasy horse adventure, but also somewhat terrifying. It kept me up at night and it was beautiful and suspenseful. I have scarce memory of the actual plot, but there was a group of friends with their horses who needed to fight dark powers, and it was gorey and somber at times. I think it was more meant for young adults than children. I remember a character dying and bleeding out on a frozen lake.
Also, there were definitely comic segments. It is possible that the entire book was a comic, or maybe a mixture of text and images. It was a series of at least 5 books. I've never intensively looked for it and it might not be obscure at all, but I wanted to share it here as a fond memory. Maybe any of you remember it. <3

it was this picture book I had when I was little. the main character was a vanilla cupcake that was sad because nobody wanted to eat him. I think there was a cupcake recipe on the back of the book.

That must be 'Cupcake' by Cherise Mericle Harper! I found an interview where it says there is a recipe in the book as well : )
