I got into this site in particular thanks to blameitonjorge's famous video on 40 lost/banned episodes. But I've been intrigued by lost media in general ever since I read a Cry Baby Lane creepypasta and learned about its backstory.

First it was avgn top 10 lost vintage horror films, lost some interest then gained it back becuse I hurd that all that was missing full seasons and it pissed me off.
I'd been vaguely aware of LMW because I'd heard of the "Cracks" search on TV Tropes, but what actually initially got me invested in this place was when I heard a search was starting for the Roly-Polys games.
(I'm a huge Osamu Sato fan, and his once-missing Chu-Teng was probably the thing that introduced me to the exciting nature of lost media.)

blameitonjorge's top 40 banned/lost episodes of kids shows. that got me interested as hell into this. the reason i love lost media as a whole is basically the fascination of how obscure something can get even in a world full of technology and know.
Same story with me
That, and my newly-probably-unhealthy interest with adwss.
It was a combination of factors for me. I remember checking out the lost films subreddit a couple of times but I really got interested once Cry Baby Lane resurfaced - that piece of lost media was so legendary there were creepy pastas written about why Nick never aired it again (all BS of course). It really amazes me to think that we can have tv/movies/music/games/etc that just completely vanish without a trace in the past 25 years. And it wasn't just the lost media that caught my attention, but the fact that there were people dedicated to finding this stuff. I didn't think that many people cared beforehand.
My curiosity never waned. I don't really remember how, could have been google, could have been a link in someone's wikia profile, but I stumbled across the LMW back in like early 2014. Read the articles obsessively and realized there was some media I was aware of that wasn't on the wiki, so I contributed, including my personal holy grail, Rapsittie Street Kids: Believe in Santa. I haven't contributed as much as I've wanted to in the past few months but now that Dycaite has sacrificed however many virgins it took to get Believe in Santa, I think there's some more stuff I can add that hasn't been covered yet.

Courage is the magic that turns memes into reality.
I hung around /x/ back in the day before the LMW was even around. I was an edgy little kid going on 4chan underage but /x/ actually had some decent stuff here and there. Lost Media, I'd heard of it before and it was always sort of interesting. So I followed the Lost Media threads, whatnot. I was in the thread right when it was made, or maybe a little after. I've been hanging around on and off since the start. I contributed one article back on the old wiki and I've been hanging on and off since then. I decided I'd finally bother making an account mainly because this thread peaked my interest and it's been long overdue.
Pardon the life story. I've always loved the site.
tldr I came on from an /x/ thread back when the wiki was in it's infancy.

I found the LMW through searching up stuff about Armen Meiwes due to morbid curiosity after hearing about him in a class and my deep interest in the history of dark and strange crime. I also tend to go to wikis first when beginning research, and thus I found the original LMW as one of my results and headed right for it. I quickly got through the article on Meiwes and kept on searching into the wiki, my interest ever increasing. I was already into sites like Unseen64, so LMW was such a joy to discover and I still love just going to random pages all over the site. I've lurked since I first found the site, and recently decided to join the community and help find lost media myself!~ So yeah, that's my story. :3

Was looking for the Christine Chubbuck video.. found this site instead, and it told me that there was no trace of it anywhere. Looked around a little more and now I visit almost daily lol
