According to his comments on my video, he's priced the game for lower than another seller he knows of. There couldn't possibly be a supply, either, as he says authorities have confiscated/destroyed most of the cartridges when they decided to regulate content appropriateness at shops tourists would buy from.
Im trying to decide if its worth it to buy a copy - as a collector piece. I might wait for the ROM to get dumped then make my own copy
You do whatever you'd like! One minor snafu right now is that Taizou is not going to be home from the 21st to January 1st, so I'm going to have a wait a bit to mail mine to him.
Oh yeah. That's the same seller that I bought my copy from. According to his comments on my video, he has two copies for sale, among other details
It looks like he sold 3 in the last few months. I wonder if they are sitting on a supply of them but doing one at a time to keep the price up.

Now, let me put this bluntly: I have been OBSESSED with Candystand.com in its prime. I have even written two articles about it on The Inner Circle Games Network - One for an elaborate and detailed Retro Flashback of the games on the site, and another to announce that someone on OneWeakness.com archived most of the Mini Golf games that were on there (including Mini Golf Open, which has been inaccessible for at least 12 years).
But anyway, as much as I'm absolutely loving that a good amount of games can still be played via Wayback Machine (and that OneWeakness uncovered the aforementioned Mini Golfs), there are still a good amount of games that CAN'T be played through Wayback. They may seem like they could run at first, but then they lock up at the loading screen or something. I haven't tried every single one, so I don't know for sure how many games are still MIA, but there are a few notable examples I'll call out: Sonic Spinball, Crash Nitro Golf, Red Ants Run, and Tee'd Off.
All the games ran in Shockwave. Think anybody could figure out what's wrong and what could be done to play the games?
I think I've lost just about all my YouTube videos from last decade and a couple years into this one. I also may have had Game Maker gmk files lost during transitions from laptop to laptop over the years.
All English translations of the in-game content are now viewable online (albeit in photos and recordings) Now I may as well just put the cartridge in the envelope already and mail the thing.

That's pretty rad! I jumped for joy when Taizou dumped the Li-Cheng re-release but having that hilarious Engrish version is even better. Thanks for the dedication.
You're more than welcome! Yeah, the Engrish is absolutely absurd. I actually managed to get to the final stage lately, so I took photos of the remaining cutscenes. They are so nonsensical I literally laughed out loud at the final part of the banter!
Awesome, nice to see someone dedicated to the medium of video games like this!
Also, welcome to the forums, hope you have a great time.
Heh! I am perhaps the most dedicated person I know when it comes to gaming. If anything, I just wish I could figure out how to find lost games better. I tried finding anything about Coolsville as well, and the closest I got was reaching out to two people that worked on it on Twitter. They have no idea about the whereabouts of the thing...
Hey there, guys. Name's Ryan Silberman, and I've been a lurker on the site for around some months now. In October, I figured that I could try and find some lost video games, myself. Wouldn't you know it, I happened to come across the English copy of Terrifying 9.11 (The unofficial Metal Slug port for Game Boy Color with shoehorned 9/11 themes), so I was quick to order that one. Come late November, and I received said copy. I intend to mail it to Taizou (who dumped the Li-Cheng Chinese version of the game - I have been communicating with him about the plan) sometime within next week, but I did release a video a few days ago showcasing the cartridge and playing it on camera.
Because it's an unscripted video of me recording something, I might sound kinda awkward during it.
Either way, I have also included some of the previously-yet-to-be-seen-by-the-public English versions of the game's cutscenes at the end of the video (as photos of the Game Boy Advance showing them, but still). Also interesting to note is that the seller of the cartridge found the video and told me more about what he knows of the game, which you can see in the comments section.
To sum it up - I have the game, I will mail it, and Taizou will dump its ROM for all to download and play, which will effectively render this version as no longer lost.
