Perhaps a bit off topic but I wonder what the mayor of Hamlin was thinking when his children vanished into a wormhole in the side of a cliff because he refused to give his old motorcycle to a black wizard playing a guitar?
That's...that's kind of a weird scenario to be in.

I came upon the original wikia several years ago by way of ADWSS and Crackmaster, which I discovered while I was doing research for a story I was writing at the time. I write science fiction stories, largely for fun but also hoping to be published (or self-publish) some day, and I also write some Horror so I conceived of a story based on the idea of a creepypasta or urban legend. Titled Channel Zer0 which was based on the idea of a destroyed or lost cartoon and the effect it had on people, and decades later this group of teenagers researching urban legends receive a copy of it and things go bad from there. But to actually understand this, and to see if any possible bits of inspiration were out there, I looked up lost or destroyed cartoons in real life, and stumbled on the earlier wikia's articles about ADWSS and Cracks.
(ironic side note: Channel Zer0 is the name of a SyFy tv show now with the precise same plot...wow)
Anyway, I found the whole thing fascinating, and more so, incredibly creepy. The fact was that something identical to what I imagined, like Cracks, was real kinda blew my mind. So as I looked around the wikia I found stuff I had seen or possibly even had on VHS from the years when I used to record every show on TV for no discernible reason. Half of this stuff I didn't even know was lost or missing. That's when I found Yeah Yeah Beebiss I and I just became obsessed. The title, the bizarreness, the just mystery of it all. So I stuck around and I actually edited a few of the original wikia pages with information and left comments on the old site. I only joined here recently because I wanted to post some research I did on YYBI and also post non-anon comments in the comments section. So there you go.

Well...two answers.
First, yeah I would say cancelled stuff qualifies as Lost Media since it basically boils down to media that was lost, as in it no longer or never really was available to the public. I mean, no one ever saw some of this stuff, like unaired episodes of a TV series--so by that definition it's unreleased or cancelled but also sill lost. In my mind, lost simply means not available anymore, not because of rarity or scarcity but because it is somehow impossible or impractical to get your hands on, like the Electric Piper was for years or ADWSS is forever. Hell there is an entire series, Hammerman, which effectively disappeared into the mists of time even though it was aired in its entirety on national television. Little Shop cartoon too I believe. So yeah "lost" is a broad definition which includes cancelled materials or extremely limited release, at least to my mind. That's just personal opinion though.
Secondly, on a more practical level, let's not start making really, really strict definitions of what Lost Media is since we'll start getting rid of huge chunks of the wiki...it won't be fun anymore.
Why not send a tweet to Unseen64? Maybe someone there'll care, and this could take off. I wonder if they know about it.
Crack Master endgame? That is my favorite piece of lost media, but the endgame is not particularly satisfying. Sure we can view the short, but there about a million questions still left unanswered, unless that's what you meant.
Oh shit I never thought of that! I will send them an email, thank you!
What I meant by Crack Master endgame was, eventually the actual game, or a rom, is leaked to Dycaite or hell me by some unknown emial drop box and I can at least finally figure out what the fuck a Beebiss actually is. It's not very intellectually satisfying, I agree, and there is a mountain of other questions that likely never get answered but...hey at least it's not lost. Chapter One: the Riddle closes, Chapter Two: the Enigma begins.
Right now we're stuck on Prologue: Wha? Beebiss? Ok.
The search for Yeah Yeah Beebiss I was what brought me into Lost Media. I would love to find out the truth about it one way or the other, even if the truth is it was a typo. It's been digging in the back of my mind for years now. My speculation is that it was an unreleased port of either Uforia or Dweebers, most likely the latter judging by the similar sounding name...but some stuff I realized recently, I don't even know.
Not to sidetrack the thread, but I'd hazard a guess this was a cancelled game. I actually think it was you who pointed out some of the other games on that list were cancelled.
I highly doubt it was a typo, if we learned anything from 'Ready 'n' Steady'.
I figure you're right. Cancelled or unreleased, but I would still love to know more about whatever YYBI actually is or was. I mean, it's been driving me crazy ever since I read about it on the Wikia version of the site. And the fact I suddenly discovered there are these other unreleased games on the same fliers really makes me crazy. When I googled "Titan Warrior" and came up with a page on Unseen 64, it fried my brain.
But part of me also guesses that there must be some reason why three or four games (that I know of) on that list are either unreleased, released under a different title or a complete mystery.
And another part of me is hoping for some kind of "Crack Master" endgame for all of this.

I seriously doubt they trademarked, or could trademark, Prototype. That word is far too generic. More so there have been dozens of movies called Prototype, including one of my favorites Prototype X229A back in the day. My best guess is the movie is being released under a different title now, possibly already has...I saw a Direct-To-Video movie in WalMart that basically had this plot called Armored if memory serves.
And before you say that sounds odd, remember they marketed the new Blair Witch as "The Woods" before announcing it, and 10 Cloverfield Lane started out as a separate move entirely before being rertrofitted. So did the Hellraiser movie Deader, which started as a separate movie too.
So it's possible the movie is being released, or has already been released, as an entirely different movie. Just a thought.

I hate to break any hearts, but let the 90s kid clear up something about Funco:
Back in MY day, Funco (I remember it being called Funcoland so maybe that's a Detroit thing) was just a place where people traded in games. There was a similar place called Babbage's too. Both were consumed by GameStop so if this place is the place then it and anyone who worked there in the 90s who will be the people you need to talk to, are long gone.
Same with Play It Again, I vaguely recall hearing about that place BEFORE GameStop became the sole game...stop in the world, it seems. I imagine it's been consumed by GameStop too. Anyone that was aware of anything that happened in 1989-1990 is now a cloud of dust on the horizon.
I assume some of this knowledge is already known, but just wanted to add. I'm fascinated by YYBI and I've been following the search for it since this site was on Wikia, so I hope someone finds it someday.

I'm pulling my memories back now but one I distinctly recall on VH1 was a special about mysteries and bizarre occurrences in the music industry, things like the Tupac/Biggie conspiracies and such. The whole thing was shot in weird filters and had this woman wearing a trench coat and walking in a GRAVE YARD and like a forest, and she would 'disappear' or something with bad special effects.
They discussed things like I believe a rumor that Curt Cobain was somehow at a concert after he killed himself, and I believe mention was made of a band whose identities were never known who preformed at some big venue then disappeared, the band-equivalent of Ready N' Steady basically. Hell maybe that was on the list! I think they went into various strange deaths or suicides too.
I know this sounds like the Crackmaster of VH1 but I would bet my life on it being real. If not VH1, MTV then. One or the other, but I have a feeling it was the former for some reason. It was basically a whole special about unsolved murders and bizarre ghostly concerts. Wish I could find it now.

I think I remember these. Was one of them about mysteries in music, referring to things like the Cobain suicide? Do you remember one where the host was walking around in a grave yard, wearing a trench coat like some episode of Unsolved Mysteries? I also remember one which was a countdown of videos they said would never be aired again, and after each one was aired the tape was destroyed. I believe I still have that one on VHS, because I heard they were never allegedly going to air these videos again so, being obsessive compulsive, I couldn't help but record it. I'd have to find the tape though, which could take forever cause I have thousands of them.
I distinctly recall this kind of stuff, and I had no idea they were considered lost.

Hey, I'm kind of new here so I have no idea if anyone ever brought this up before, someone only mentioned it once in the comment section of the Yeah Yeah Beebiss I page and it hit me like a bullet. So forgive me if this is already known.
So another poster in the YYBI comment section, mentioned that they believed the game was actually an unreleased game called Uforia. Now I have no idea if this is the truth or speculation, but he also brought up a good point: on of the other games on the flyer, Zeta Gundam, was never released--or more so it is released under a different title, Mobile Suit Gundam Z: Hot Scramble if memory serves. That got me to thinking about what on Earth that game was, or if it was the same game with a different title or if it also never released for some reason. That thought stayed with me and then, while I was looking at this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaYOBQdiHlg "The Mystery of Yeah Yeah Beebiss I) the presenter, who also hangs out here from what he says, made an interesting point. This ad is for TRADING IN games, not directly buying them, so one must assume the games were released at some point right? Right?
Yeah but then it hit me: google some of the other games.
A page on the website Unseen 64, which catalogues unreleased or canceled video games. This goes over the fact that Titan Warrior was cancelled in 1988, a year prior to the YYBI flyer being released unless I'm mistaken. I was shocked to see this so I actually at random chose another game, Zombie Master, and googled it too and came up with ANOTHER page from Lost Levels, detailing how Zombie Master was an unreleased game too. That would mean at least two, possibly three other games (depending on how you interpret the Zeta Gundam thing) may or may not exist on this list. And that also is not going into other small flaws and typos with the Play It Again flyer. Bionic Commando is pluralized for example.
I don't know if anyone has ever noticed this before or if this is the first time anyone has even mentioned it, but I believe that this list may include the names of several games either unreleased or canceled, possibly including YYBI. I have yet to explore the Funco flyer to see if similar things pop up but it strikes me as very strange. Maybe someone else has noticed it too? Is it possible these games are lost too? I believe Zombie Master received perhaps a kind of release, but I could find little information on the game on my own. The original, anonymous poster in the YYBI comment section was the first one to even notice this from what I can discern, and he suggested YYBI was actually Uforia, so maybe this person has some knowledge about this too?
Anyway, just something that struck me as bizarre, hope this is useful to anyone searching for YYBI.
