Ok so, I tried a reverse image search and immediately it started showing things like Plex and Roku, I think the oldest one I could find was a on a wiki about "movies and tv" which seemed to just be some kind of bizarre mishmash of other wikis, but also something called MyCast which seems to be some kind of fanfic stuff where you describe who you would cast in a hypothetical movie. The ones that came up non-stop was Pintrest, and a site I've seen before called Watch Cartoons Online which is, to be blunt, kind of "grey area" and I mainly use it to watch anime.
I'll be honest, this kind of looks like DA fanart. Eletrikfiyed, you said you saw this used for some kind of official art? Like for a tv guide?
Yes it was on the tv guide.
Hmm. Well that shot down my theory, cause I was thinking someone snatched some fanart from DA to use somehow, I don't know how probable that would be in this case. It looks so familiar though, I'm almost certain I've seen it on the internet and I assumed it was DeviantArt. Mayve this has just been around for a long time, like concept art.
I recall reading on this wiki (if memory serves) about a lost movie which, I believe, was called Weeds or something similar. According to the page, it was about a guy who was trying to kill wayward plants or weeds in his garden or his yard but they proved to be essentially indestructible. No matter what he did or how he eliminated them, they would return, progressively more dangerous than before, even more of them than previously, and he was slowly going insane trying to destroy them. The movie looked like it was made in the 60s or 70s based on the image, and the picture in the article showed two guys kneeling down and looking at some of the weeds which were so big they looked knee-height.
Possibly lost advertising? It might have been a PSA or commercial.
See, I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain it's a movie. It's one of the most obvious memories of the page I have. But you may have a point, so I'm going to go look at those too

Here's a new one...

Now.
I can tell you all of that, but for the life of me I can't find the PAGE on this wiki! As far as I can tell, I've looked over all the lost films, found films, lost tv, found tv, and since it was live action I have no idea where else it would be. Unless I'm misremembering and I saw it somewhere else or maybe I even saw(?) it myself, but since I can't to find it anywhere it may be lost-lost media. Once in a lifetime.

I can actually see the very real possibility, however faintly small, a perhaps tattered copy of London After Midnight exists. There is a kind of legendary story behind a lost build of Resident Evil 2 called RE 1.5 that was basically passed around in collectors' circles and only after a long time of just being a rumor was found and made available. Underground circuits like that exist for film, so the idea that someone has a copy in some vault in some Saudi Prince's estate or something is unlikely but hardly impossible.

No one else is being hostile, everyone else is on point with the thread, this Grostermoth guy's trying to start throwing shade. Everyone else has been just peaceful chatting about HIM...😆
Then leave, no one is stopping you. The thread obviously doesn't appeal to your taste so stop insulting other people for no reason. Also I'm not a kid I'm probably old enough to be your father, so stop flexing before you throw your back out.
This isn't about appealing to anyone's tastes. This is about not making stuff up. Such as claiming an obviously English song is actually being sung in a mysterious unknown language. come on. Seriously.... I'm only here for the 0.5% of posts/topics that actually make sense. The rare gold nuggets.
Are you trying to convince me that your Spike MLP pfp makes you an adult? How does one even respond to something that nonsensical? Nobody will ever believe that lie.
Like, seriously? This stupid song is more valuable to find than London After Midnight? What a joke.
Well firstly, I just brought it up and I feel no regret for doing so, because it's well within the confines of the thread.
As for the song itself, there were several articles including one in Rolling Stone, a documentary, several major breakthroughs and an entire reddit dedicated to finding it as well as several videos about it by people actually involved in lost media too. So yes, people consider it to be important or relevant. Now, this is an agree or disagree situation, obviously no one is forcing anyone else to be involved, but pretending that this is somehow not seen as relevant or (like the other dude) saying it's an "imaginary mystery" when major publications have been involved in the search is simply not true. It's not important to everyone, obviously, but apparently thousands and thousands of people think it is and you could say the same about literally anything considered lost or mysterious.
One other point: the actual, identical situation seen here can, as I mentioned earlier, be applied to Gothicmade and yes London After Midnight because we have concrete evidence of what it is and actual direct knowledge of it uncut and unaltered but the actual material is considered mysterious. No one is placing "value," great or small, on any search.

Also, and I want to stress this, no one is making anyone do anything. The reason I bought it up was because the thread is about what lost media people would like to see. I offered an opinion, no one else has said anything remotely insulting about it OR anything else here, until you swept in like Mirror Universe Batman and called THE SITE "full of kids" meaning you're taking a shit on the "kids" here in unison.
No one asked you what you think about the so-called "kids" or the site.
I do want to find out what band did it and what the words are (we can't even tell what language it's in) even if it's not Bohemian Rhapsody level quality or by a famous band. I don't know if it is lost media because it's kind of the opposite, but it's still worth talking about at least in the forums
The Language is English, and the lyrics are known with roughly 90% accuracy. The original mastering and audio quality isn't very good.
I can't take this website seriously anymore. It is just full of kids chasing after imaginary mysteries.
Then leave, no one is stopping you. The thread obviously doesn't appeal to your taste so stop insulting other people for no reason. Also I'm not a kid I'm probably old enough to be your father, so stop flexing before you throw your back out.

Well that's the thing: 4chan, discord, YT and Reddit, they already are aware. There's an entire Reddit page that is dedicated to trying to find it and it's actually been on the Lost media redit from what I recall, it just seems like...I don't know it's just seems like it belongs. It should "count" for lack of a better word, that it truly is lost. It's more lost frankly than something like London After Midnight because we have basically every shred of information that could possibly be gleaned about London After Midnight: we have entire plots synopsis, we have essentially witness testimony, we have the few remaining pictures and even if I recall reals or videos, it's simply the negatives that were lost. This truly IS lost, the fact that we have the song in its entirety doesn't really change the fact that it really is lost, all memory of it was completely lost until ONE guy found ONE copy (possibly what was at the time the only recording left in existence of it) on a mixtape and if it hadn't been for that nobody would have known it existed.
I guess it's not exactly the same thing as say something like Yeah Yeah Beebiss I or Black the Ripper where we have documentation but we can't find the actual thing. And also to be clear I mentioned Gothicmade because well, first because I'm a huge Five Star Stories fan and I would love to see the movie, but we have a similar situation, frankly of literally identical situation in fact, where we know for a fact the movie, uncut, exists and we know exactly what happens in it, there's witness testimony and I believe there's a script floating around on the Internet or so I've been told. I think I may have actually seen it or seen someone that had like downloaded it or something...but we still have no access to the film itself. So if that "counts" and similarly if London After midniyght "counts" when we have basically everything but the negatives for both, I don't know, it just it seems like it makes perfect sense. It seems like there's no genuine reason why it wouldn't work or wouldn't "count."
I mean in this case you couldn't even argue there would be something like article spam or something like that, because there would only be one article and at most there would be, I guess, worse case scenario, spam in the comments of the page. But that's it, because every other shred of information is available so they wouldn't even be article spam, there wouldn't (couldn't) even be any huge amount of effect on the actual article itself or rather the wiki proper, there might be some stuff here in the forum or in the discord that people talk about but like I said there's a whole discords and whole Reddit pages about it already, whole YouTube videos about it. So just putting more eyes on it would do nothing other than perhaps help the search.
...also damn it I would just love to see Gothicmade I mean I would like cut off a fucking finger just to see that God damn thing released on DVD LOL 😁

Actually as I look back and I remember mentioning it more than once, what is anyone else's stand on The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet?
Like as I said we have the song in its entirety, uncut, it is still lost media and should it count as list media, because we have literally no idea where it originated from, if it's connected to anything else (there might be an entire LP that's lost out there) who the band is, things like that.
So I don't know why not have a listing for it? I honestly think it deserves a page here, I honestly think it deserves some real mention because realistically speaking other than those Whang! videos and a couple of cuts of it on YouTube that have been remastered, for all practical purposes it really is almost this kind of myth that people talk about but never see.
But the irony is is that we know it's real, there's a mountain of physical evidence that says it's real, it's ironically like HIM in that we absolutely know without any conceivable doubt or any question that this thing existed, period, it's just the band that we can't find and I think that while some people would say it doesn't count (quotation marks) I can't genuinely see a reason why it wouldn't deserve a page and wider search on discord.
By every logical standard it's lost media in practice if not in name. Just my opinion.
But really, no. This is literally just talking about something we like to see, but without everyone saying "HIM" over and over again. Also really what did everyone expect? Other than HIM and Saki (and Gothicmade, for me) the only other big one is YYBI.
Well, ahem, I was the one who said The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet, which is the only thing besides the Big Three people are widely searching for but that might not "count" since we have the entire song uncut we just lost the band.
