Haha no problem, you helped me a lot too, let me remind you that I was about to drop this search when you offered your help
Oh yeah.
I'm going to contact an admin to see if we can put a page for this on the Wiki. I'll probably wait until a) the movie is uploaded or b) our lead goes cold to do so. It probably would warrant a found page. It's been off the internet for over two decades, and most of the information about it is wrong.

Is it, by any chance, the same address on his Youtube page? (I won't be e-mailing him. You have clearly got this.)
Also, good to know he's straightening our information out.
Neither of those film festivals were the festival we found. I wonder what that's about.
Super excited to see the PDFs when they arrive.
Honestly I don't know, I'll check his YouTube channel later
I guess now we know why Kates' rol on the film was unknown, since she wasn't even part of it. However, how the hell did she end up credited in the film? I mean, Joan Jett makes sense becuase her name is almost identical to the name of the star, but what about Kates?
I have no idea. It could be that she was involved with a different film at the same festival. All the information that I can find about her is related to a Susan Sontag documentary, but that didn't come out until 2014.
I think we only had one or two sources for Kates.
Edit: Just checked my twitter. It's the same e-mail.
Hey! Our film was featured in the SF Lesbian and Gay Festival (1994) – it’s now called the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. Joan Jett Blakk (and not Joan Jett!) was featured in this film. Yet, if you google the film "Talking About the Weather," IMDb credits Joan Jett. This is clearly not the case. You can google Joan Jett Blakk and get more details on him/her. Not sure how the mistake occurred – the names are very similar, however. Also, they also credit Nancy Kates on IMDb (she was not in the film- I have no idea who she was or is).
I used parts of the film for my YouTube video “Monsters, Freaks & Creeps” – however, I never credited Joan Jett. I give mention of the film and the players and director although I have no official permission to use parts of the film in my video.
I enclosed some images of a review of the film back in the day. Please let me know if I can help additionally.
Many thanks
Rik
He also linked a few PDFs, I'll upload them shortly.

Super excited to see the PDFs when they arrive.
Could we ask him how we might get official permission to redistribute the film?
