Huh, interesting. Still though, LiveLeak's history as once a site to see people taking away their lives really goes to show that there have always been people on the internet that just wanted to see humans die(and maybe even some that took their own lives afterwards as well).
The only thing I think should be lost on purpose are certain types of crime scene footage, the kind that involves kids.
Anything else I think has at least some value. Even horrible events such as on-air suicides.
there's a certain video that scared me when I was a kid and when I looked it up again it turned out the original video had flashing lights which could give people seizures. Its on YouTube but since it's "made for kids" no one can comment a seizure warning. That version of the video deserves to be lost. Ironically it's called alphabet lost and found, and the seizure triggering version should be lost and the safe one should stay found.
Like the pokemon flashing light episode, I think there is a place for it, but only behind a bunch of seizure warnings. If after an epilepsy warning you you still be able to see it, you should be able to.

Well, to be honest right now, I kind of feel like there was a bit of a sign that maybe I could've just not done say these things, despite being what I honestly felt about certain things. It's sort of a double edged sword to me.
On one hand, I could've just kept that stuff to myself & perhaps should've just never even mentioned that thing. On the other hand though, at least I actually decided to just let it all out instead of just having it corrupt my mind like crazy. That's not even getting into some really dark thoughts I had in my head where I was thinking of doing one of like 2 things that I don't really want to say what they are, but I did sort of allude to those things in that YouTube comment Guardian HQ talked about back on July 12th of this year, one of which is definitely a real thing that has happened & especially is the case for LGBT+ youth these days. And I wasn't saying that just for laughs either. It was nothing but being serious about what I was saying, which really shows just how much hatred I had for the show. Besides, it'd just be disrespectful & completely tasteless if I ever wrote such a thing as a joke. There was a 3rd one too which involved ill will towards its creator, but those thoughts really only happen due to my sheer anger & I would definitely not do that or encourage such actions be made.
In a way, it's kind of like the opposite of what The Owl House was in terms of how one could feel. For how comforting it can be to LGBT+ people no doubt thanks to the wonderful representation in that show, the other show can just shatter the same people, most likely ones that know quite a bit of history of LGBT+ representation & seeing just how backward it was in portraying people in the same community I am part of. That, combined with the show's overall message being to hate everyone around you, avoid any challenges you come across & just make yourself a hopeless human being, you get yourself something that can easily make LGBT+ people feel uncomfortable about themselves & make them feel as if maybe they're nothing more than failures when clearly they can be able to great things & make something truly amazing & inspiring.
Honestly, at this point I just feel like not being on most of the forums outside of the few little hobbies for a little bit(likely a week) & instead mainly just do more of what I like to do. Who knows, I can very well just rewatch the Akazukin ChaCha anime, which definitely holds up very well outside of the Doris thing, which even still isn't as insulting or as tasteless as Professor Caraway. I have been reading a bit of the 1991 manga just recently, so I can definitely see myself being able to rewatch the anime. If any of you guys want to watch that anime, the full Japanese original is on YouTube as well as InternetArchive. 8 episodes of the English dub are also available on YouTube courtesy of ZPBander.
That is most definitely not the message of the show at all, that's completely untrue, also I think it's a bit rude of you to speak on behalf of all LGBTQ people and just assume they all agree with you on that show.

Aren't you straight? What gives you the right to insist his opinions are wrong and that all the reasonable queer people agree with you instead? Personally, I don't care for the show at all; I think it was a mistake to place it on a primarily anime centered platform, nobody would care at all had it been dumped on some obscure streaming service, but the fact that it was rubbing shoulders with some of the greatest animated programs of recent times and would obviously be compared to them just doomed it.
Slimeboy kinda cute tho.

Never said anything like that and just because i'm straight does not automatically mean i'm forbidden from disagreeing with him, the notion that only LGBTQ people are allowed to care about this issue is utter nonsense if that's what you're implying.
Aren't you straight yourself as well? By your own(frankly bizarre) logic what gives you the right to insist that his opinions are correct and those of other people(both straight and non-straight) are not?
I for one don't think it was a mistake at all and I think the people hating on it just cause it's on an anime streaming service are quite frankly idiots and anyone comparing it to anime made overseas is an even bigger idiot IMO.

For what it's worth, I do not consider myself straight, and have in fact had many relationships that could be considered queer. If there's someone like me out there who got something out of this show, more power to them, but the consensus between the two actually queer people here is that the representation is half assed and it's a really mediocre show. I appreciate your attempts to be an ally, but you need to realize when your attempts to change our minds look more like a desire to control.
I don't blame people for comparing it to an anime when it is exclusive to a streaming service specializing in anime. If a rom-com were on a streaming service for horror movies, or a blockbuster on a service for art films, it would stick out just the same and be scrutinized for it. Humans have a tendency for noticing things unlike those around them. It's how we survived way before society.

Me pointing out that just because someone is LGBTQ does not mean they get to speak for all LGBTQ people is not a "desire to control", if anything it sounds like he is the one with a desire to control all other LGBTQ people to think exactly like him(at least that's how his posts about this show come across)
the consensus between loads of other queer people that i've seen on social media is that it's a perfectly fine show. If he does not like it fine whatever, that's one thing, going into crazy conspiracy theory territory is quite another.

Honestly I think darkrage6 is just on a Crusade against comparisons.

On three occasions I've been told by White "left leaning people" I'm not "really" Black because I'm not an obedient slave, four if this thread is included...and yes I'll be bitter about that till I'm cold in a grave...but basically there's a thought process that everyone is a monolithic "whole" and anyone beyond that uniform whole is not allowed to interact or interfere.
Also, anyone within the monolithic whole MUST function uniformly within it, or else they "hate themselves". The fact that this is literally the same mentality behind actual discrimination and Jim Crow laws seems to zoom over their heads like a hail of bullets.

I'd also suggest just not responding to him, if he decides to try something. It's not worth the time or effort, since I'm fairly certain he's a little troll. My suggestion is, just talk around him, if you want to discuss something. Just my opinion. 👌

LOL no i'm not on any "Crusade", I just think it's a nonsensical comparison and i'm allowed to say so.

No it's not the same mentality at all Larry Elder, nice try with the bullshit straw man but i'm not falling for it. Nobody expects all black people to be a monolithic whole, but when you start spouting alt-right garbage you really shouldn't be surprised that a lot of left-leaning people of all colors take issues with it.
Sure you have the freedom to have dumbass opinions but others have the freedom to call you out on them, it's like you want to be able to spew your stupid asinine alt-right garbage but nobody is ever allowed to call you out on it, sorry but real life does not work that way.
