There's a scene from Turning Red that can be partially found through trailers and the Embrace The Panda documentary, but is not included in the final film. The scene in question involves Mei and her friends doing a protest for environmental issues in the school halls, www.youtube.com/watch?v=6flOoiUa8Qs, www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdKzUbAiswE&t=43s (0:20-0:21). This scene feels like it would've been at least somewhat important as it establishes the activist side of Mei's character, which we only ever see in the final film through Ming's mentions of deforestation, a sad orangutan, and Mei's strong reactions to said images. One thing that makes me worried about this scene is that while the film's upcoming home media release will include deleted scenes, the protest scene doesn't seem to match most of the scenes described in the press release, collider.com/turning-red-4k-blu-ray-release-date-deleted-scenes-alternate-ending-audio-commentary/. The only one I could see it being connected to is the one titled, "The Debate," but even then I feel like these will be early storyboarded scenes unlike the protest scene, which looks completed.

The deleted scenes have started to make rounds online, and as I suspected, The Debate scene is not the scene I was looking for. The rest will likely just be storyboards (aside from the extended intro). I'm wondering if contacting any crew members is even an option, even to just find out why the protest scene isn't included in the home media release.
Isn't it a bit too soon to make a search? The film is just a month old today, Disney could release it in a couple of months as a deleted scene alongside the storyboards and other material. I doubt it's going to the vault considering Pixar and Disney have a good track record of revealing deleted scenes, it'll probably be made public sometime in the future.
A little too soon, give it a year or so until the hype dies down.
Wouldn't the hype dying down mean less interest in a search? In my mind, there'd be a better chance by bringing attention to it while people are still talking about it.

My worry would be some form of NDA or legal agreement to not release the scene. I'm not saying you're going to run into that problem, but it's a problem that could be run into and would make the whole thing easier to find if you wait. Also, I didn't even think this movie was released on DVD yet. It could be a deleted scene on some random release at some point.
You make a sound argument about finding it now, though.
Solving my problems with convoluted moves involving time travel since... wait, what year is it?

I'm not really sure where else the scene could be officially released as the press release for the DVD doesn't mention it, unless they decide to include it anyway. The best we could get out of the DVD at this point is a couple more snippets from it through behind-the-scenes featurettes (like Embrace The Panda).
The difference between this scene and other deleted scenes from Pixar movies that became lost media is that this one is not dark with Cars 3 and Inside Out both had scenes that were planned have on screen deaths with no compromises and with that you can see why they got the axe and were never shown off in any behind the scenes video or deleted scenes compilation but in here what is so dark this deleted scene in turning red simple nothing and do to that I think this scene will most likely see the light of day on like other deleted scenes from Pixar

Sure it's not dark, but I'm just surprised it's not included on DVD as I assumed it would have like anybody else.

We still don't know that, the physical comes out on May 3
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
This is way too soon to start a search, the movie isn't even 2 months old, if the scene in question isn't on the home media release then a search should start.
I agree that it's a little too soon for this search. The DVD version hasn't even released yet. Even if it's not mentioned in press releases, it's possible it COULD be there. Wait until later this month, and then MAYBE you could try reviving the search.
