I wasn't too sure where to put this thread, so sorry if this is the wrong category.
A month ago we stumbled across a post on Tumblr where someone going through the old Furby website found a post which mentioned Pokemon using Furby Technology. They gave the source here, which reads:
There is also a link to view a preview of the products, but it does not look like it was archived unfortunately.
They also linked another on a Kidscreen article here, which reads:
And I did some research on my own and found a brief mention on a toy news site:
Not much, but hey. I did bring it up that I was looking into a Pokemon Furby to our dad and he said he recalled hearing about it on the news and remembered it because it seemed like an obvious progression to him, but I wasn't able to find any local news reportings that mentioned it.
There was an interactive electronic Pokemon plush released by Tiger Electronics in 1998 which included Meowth and Pikachu, but this was released before the 2000 toy fair and the most it seems to have done was talk and light up, where the electronics talked about in the articles were said to have interacted with Furby and seemed to have much more AI.
I'm also unclear if this was just a discussed product or if it had a prototype which was being displayed. I know Shelby, which was teased alongside the Meowth and Pikachu, had prototypes displayed, but I'm not sure about the interactive Yoda and ET (The Yoda might have?). If it did had images and a prototype, it looks like they are lost, since the section on the website which would have displayed them wasn't archived.
I'm very curious about this one since my system has into Pokemon for years and started getting into Furby recently, so I wanted to ask on here in case anyone might have anything else.

Feb. 23, 2000 – At last week’s International Toy Fair, the trade-only show for the toy industry, Tiger introduced Interactive Yoda, Interactive ET, Interactive Pikachu and Interactive Meowth, extraordinary new products which utilize and extend the Furby technology... Interactive Pikachu and Meowth, two of the most popular characters from the ever-hot Pokemon collection, can also communicate with Furby. They each also display the personalities and characteristics Poke-collectors know and love.
They also linked another on a Kidscreen article here, which reads:
Tiger’s biggest products for fourth quarter will be an interactive Pikachu and an interactive Meowth, likely larger and carrying a higher SRP than Furby due to new features. Like Furby, the toy will interact with its owner, and the addition of speech-recognition technology will enable the toy to learn its owner’s voice and be trained to follow voice commands over time. When Pikachu and his nemesis are brought together, the two will be able to challenge each other.
And I did some research on my own and found a brief mention on a toy news site:
Pikach, the yellow Pokemon character with the lightning bolt tail, and his rival, Meowth, will be interactive plush toys this year, sharing many of the features of Tiger Electronics’ Furby.
