I might be losing it, but something about a game at McDonald's where you can color things in rings a bell. Something about an interactable screen at a McDonald's feels familiar. I played the N64s at McDonald's a lot lol.
Yes the coloring in game through a screen was something that came up when I asked the arcade cabinet aficionado on tumblr, one of his followers brought that up and it immediately rang a bell for me too. Although I am wholly unsure if it was around the same time as this "Sesame Street" game I've been talking about.
So, I asked my techy friends, showing them this forum and what we were looking for. And he instantly found this: www.ebay.com/itm/126114646111
It looks so close to what I remember. It plays CD-i games. The listing shows the Sesame Street game that I remember playing. The cabinet is so close, but it's missing the bench, and I remember the cabinet being grey. I also remember it distinctly being a black touchpad, and this one has a wheel.

Maybe this could be a variation of it?
I THINK THIS IS IT! It's so familiar! I'm gonna send it to my sister and see what she thinks.
Edit: I showed my husband and he immediately recognized it. I think Lil Champ arcade machines might be what we were looking for.
Yes yes yes! I showed my cousin and she thinks this could be it too! I just wish we had a picture for reference but this I feel is so close. The shape is so familiar, especially that curve on the side of the machine.

Maybe we should message the person with the ebay listing for more info.
I am going to say neither my sister nor the user who also remembers the seal circus game recognize the machine. I think my next course of action is to contact the ebay user, but still inquire with the McDonald's collectors group I'm in.
It's obvious McDonald's had a wide variety of gaming machines, what we are specifically looking for is one from around the late 90s. To me this is the closest we have ever gotten to finding said machine.

That's a coin-operated machine from a Lil' Champ Food Store. It has a trackball, not a wheel.

In that Wikipedia article you sent, in what section does it say that it's from the Lil' Champ Food Store? I must've missed it.
Hey an update! The ebay user has no idea where the machine came from, and nobody in the McDonald's collectors group has answered my inquiry. So maybe more of a non update?
I also haven't found anything saying the machine was from Circle K (Lil' Champ), the only thing in common here are the names. If someone can definitively prove that's where it's from then I'd discount it. I just don't get why a Philips CDi arcade machine clearly meant for little children would be in a Circle K? Gas stations, department stores, and laundromats all had arcade machines at one point, but usually more traditional machines. Even the seller on ebay says this machine would be perfect for a "day care" so why would it be at a Circle K?

Lil' Champ Food Store was a gas station in Jacksonville, Florida. It has no relation to Circle K. Aside from the name on the machine on ebay, I have found no proof that they ever had arcade machines. Either way, I don't find it very likely that they made a whole arcade machine exclusively for this one local gas station in Florida. I'm leaning more towards the "Lil' Champ" name on the machine meaning something else.

Oh I thought it was linked to me because Circle K absorbed them or something.
Yeah I assume the name has to do with the fact it's an arcade machine for smaller children.

The machine is definetly for children by design, it's too small to be otherwise.
I feel like looking at the product codes would give you a clue about where this originally came from. One of them says the CDi was manufactured in Belgium, during september 1993, altough that doesen't mean much since the listing comes from Texas...

Maybe we need to look more at Philips CDi and who they partnered with? Them making arcade machines for McDonald's isn't too strange considering they also worked with K-mart. I could look through my Kidzpace correspondence again, but the machines from Kidzpace have the company name on them.
