So, scouring the net for possible unknown or lost media, I came upon a post from someone detailing a...strangely familiar sounding anime, which seems so on point I can almost recall it myself. But then I dive into 9Anime on a regular basis, so I may have stumbled across it.
The guy said this, exact quote:
"I’m looking for an anime where in the future, a Scientist creates a unlimited energy source that runs off the earths electromagnetic field. With this same technology he makes an super intelligent sentient android which calls him her father. At the beginning of the anime the scientist is raided by some overarching government types. He then proceeds to detonate the tech in his lab by overloading it, with him still inside. His “daughter” sits by helplessly watching him commit suicide. That’s all I can remember. Please help."
I sent him a PM to see if he recalls the year, and if so I'll update. It sounds almost like Ariel? Or perhaps De:Vadasy?
Any ideas?
