I'm a huge game show fan, and I've recently been fascinated by some game shows with not a lot of media currently available. One of these is Champion Blockbusters, a spin-off of the British version of Blockbusters.
Champion Blockbusters aired on ITV from 1987 to 1990, consisting of twenty-four episodes produced over four series. The gameplay was identical to the original show, where a single player and a team of two answered questions to make a connecting path on a hexagonal game board. The only differences were that former winners competed, the grand prize was related to what they were doing at the time and the money won would go to charity.
Unlike the original Blockbusters, it seems that this spin-off was never rebroadcast on television. Very little footage currently exists, with the only one right now being a snippet from a 1990 episode, uploaded the same day host Bob Holness passed away.
I do remember there being another video a few years back, where someone uploaded the network continuity of an ITV region and the show's opening. However, that video has since been taken down. The video's title was "TSW In-Vision Continuity With David Fitzgerald Into 'Champion Blockbusters' 1988" and the link for said video is listed below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzrUWDVGz7U
If there's anyone who lived in the United Kingdom during the late 80s/early 90s, recorded ITV and might still have those tapes, that would be really helpful.
