I’ve been looking for this video for awhile, and I used to watch it around Halloween, looking for it again for nostalgia’s sake. With a search online or through YouTube I cannot find the video anymore, so I believe it or the channel may be deleted.
What I remember though, is that the video was titled “Freddy Krueger goes to Halloween City”, and involved a man dressed as and doing an impression of the famous slasher going through the store.
He opened the video by saying “Hello kids, Freddy Krueger here, I'm at the Halloween City at 6645 Airport Highway (I know he says Airport Highway, but the number is where a Sears is currently. I remember the old Halloween City would set up there. Yes, I live near the filming location.) As you may notice I don't have my glove, they took it away because they thought I was shoplifting it.”
He then proceeds to look at the props and masks, making fun of a plastic glove knife, and calling it “shit”. He then compares it to his, which he again states he doesn’t have. He also looks at the Freddy masks, saying how good quality some are, and he even looks at Michael Myer’s masks, and maybe Jason? I clearly remember Michael, however.
He meets some kids and adults, and shakes their hands, reassuring that he wouldn’t hurt them, and joking that the store, again, took his glove away. He gives one a hug I believe. From what I remember there were two blonde kids and then one black adult girl with black hair when he was in the costume section
He then goes to the decorations aisle, and starts looking at giant spiders, cobwebs, and a fog machine, commenting on “good webs” and “good fog”. The video is very much Freddy’s opinion on products.
Then, he finds a Gemmy Jason life sized animatronic, I believe it was the remake Jason, from 2007. He takes off his mask, saying he had a face only a mother could love, and pretends to fight with it. After that, I believe he leaves, but he may have looked at an electrical chair animatronic beforehand.
I saw a Reddit post about it that didn’t gain much attention, but it helped me remember a lot of things about it! If ANYONE can find any clips of it, an archive, anything at all about it, I would love to see or hear about it. Thank you!
