Now this is a bit of an odd one. You see, I was looking for Commodore 64 music on the Unepic SID Channel by searching "unepic sid channel unknown composer" when I stumbled upon this interesting piece from 1984 called "skychannel".:

Now it seems to be an original tune at first, but upon further research, I actually found this:

Unfortunately, the one on the Soundbox is corrupted a bit due to age presumably, but that's not the point. Thing is, all the other tunes on Soundbox are NOT original tunes. They're covers of songs & instrumentals that already existed beforehand. So this means that this might actually be a cover of an unknown song or instrumental tune & in either case, it will be VERY difficult to try locating the original piece.
Now, I'm not really sure if it's really the case, this is just speculation on my part. I could be wrong & that it IS just an original tune, but still, it being featured on that Soundbox collection does sort of make it seem that it's a cover of some kind & we just don't know yet. I mean, chiptune covers ARE common after all & outside of what was seen on the Soundbox there are some other C64 covers out there:

Could this have been composed by one of the people who made other C64 covers of songs? We don't have any sort of answer yet, but it's definitely possible!
