For the longest time i've been in possession of these CDs, given to me by a friend of mine who didn't care for them anymore, containing all sorts of old games.
I'll admit, i didn't care a whole lot about these games either until very recently, as my computer doesn't have any disc reader, but my recent interest over lost media made me give them a second look, and what do you know, there's a lot to unpack here.
Most of these CDs are of regular games, easily identifiable and not particularly interesting, but a few of them, published by a distribution company called Microforum, caught my attention, as they weren't as easy to figure out.
The actual names of the 2 games of this thread weren't outright stated in the cover of the game, instead they were called respectively Cuccioli 3D (Pets 3D in italian), which was bundled with a pool game sponsored by a german brewery called Dommelsh and MiniGolf 3D (MiniGolf 3D in italian), both of which gave no relevant results in Google, adding to that there was no developer credited anywhere in the disc or the box itself.
I couldn't find any clue of their real identity until i got a CD reader and installed them, and even after i did that and got their true names, i couldn't find them on Google.
Well, to be precise, Pets 3D does show up, but of the 9 versions available, 3 aren't up for download anywhere i've looked: the ones with aliens, bugs and dinosaurs, which just so happen to be the versions present in this disc.
Meanwhile, of Castle Minigolf i could only find the publisher, Koala Games, an italian game development company whose only sign that they existed is a Twitter post from 2010 from their long abandoned account.
I'll upload these games as soon as i can, since i'm having issues with the computer right now.
