Maybe it's concept art from an earlier version of the show? Sometimes they get used in adverstisement or whatnot when the show isn't finished, and this specifically stood the test of time.
Interesting to see this pop up here. I was talking about this after i saw it come up on the guide a few weeks back. At first i thought it was some reboot but no it's the original show lol. Turns out after some digging, that image dates back to like 2010 on the internet and has been used sporadically to promote the show since then. With No explanation that i can find as to why.
I'll be honest, this kind of looks like DA fanart. Eletrikfiyed, you said you saw this used for some kind of official art? Like for a tv guide?
Yes it was on the tv guide.
Hmm. Well that shot down my theory, cause I was thinking someone snatched some fanart from DA to use somehow, I don't know how probable that would be in this case. It looks so familiar though, I'm almost certain I've seen it on the internet and I assumed it was DeviantArt. Mayve this has just been around for a long time, like concept art.

Ok so, I tried a reverse image search and immediately it started showing things like Plex and Roku, I think the oldest one I could find was a on a wiki about "movies and tv" which seemed to just be some kind of bizarre mishmash of other wikis, but also something called MyCast which seems to be some kind of fanfic stuff where you describe who you would cast in a hypothetical movie. The ones that came up non-stop was Pintrest, and a site I've seen before called Watch Cartoons Online which is, to be blunt, kind of "grey area" and I mainly use it to watch anime.

Wow, I just checked up on this thread thinking no one would have cared about some random image from a random Canadian cartoon from my childhood and I just wanted to say thank you to you guys.
Now eletrikfiyed you said that the image dates back to 2010 I find this strange because "6teen" aired from 2004-2010 wouldn't websites have some kind of updated promotional art after the show was on air for 6 years ?
Same shit happened to me, I'd say it was concept art. The fashion reminds me of earlier 2000s styles. NIkki reminds me of her design from "The Mall", a prototype for 6Teen, the wiki has a low res picture of it.

6Teen and most of FreshTV's other series are very popular in the USA and usually get ordered by Cartoon Network or other stations before they even premier in Canada (usually Teletoon) so its not surprising at all. I think some of 6Teen is still "lost" though if I'm not mistaken

Considering the things that keep popping up are Pintrest, Plex and Roku I can only assume it's either promo art for some version that was never fully produced, "The Mall" seems.
