Hello everyone! I am writing this on behalf of someone new to the lost media community (Vinny), who has been desperately searching for the season 2 English dub of obscure cartoon for some years now. Here's a thread of information he's compiled about this mystery, and I've broken down everything we know below:
'Jamie's Got Tentacles' (French Jamie a des tentacules) is a 2012-2014 (discrepancies due to dub airdates) animated cartoon series based on a series of books written by Andrew Ford. Centred around an alien named Jamie who flees to Earth and disguises himself as a human, the show was dubbed into English around 2013, and subsequently aired on the UK children's television channel POP in 2014 and beyond.
Now, both seasons of JGT have 52 episodes each, but at the moment, only season 1 is available to watch across various streaming services. The show's English distributor, Jetpack Kids, uploaded the entirety of season 1 to YouTube in 2019/2020, but there is no season 2 to be found. The same is across all the usual haunts for finding cartoons online - typically, most places have the entirety, or nearly all of, season 1, with no episodes of season 2 in the English dub.
As of writing, Vinny believes that the show is still airing in France (in French), with archives of the show existing in varying quality. It appears that as well as in the UK, JGT also aired in Australia, having a listing on the ABC website although it is no longer available to watch. I've combed through the Internet Archive, various cartoon hosting sites and plentiful streaming services only to come up short. Our next step will likely be to contact Jetpack Kids if we're unable to source season 2 of the cartoon in English elsewhere.
