Hey this is just going to be a nice lil listicle I'm going to edit and add to because I have a lot of random things I cannot find.
1. Wayne Brady Folgers commercial. This might be a Mandela memory or just confusion, but my partner and I were talking about it this morning only for me to sorta discover it was never a thing? The only thing that does come up are International Delight commercials and a just as confused reddit thread.
2. A book about Japanese pop art? I had this book sometime in 2006, my mom got it for me one Christmas from Borders when they still existed. It had some real interesting illustrations in it. Some anime-ish, some not. I remember one illustration included a really overweight woman with her baby? Idk.
3. I think this might be from the book above, but I am not 100%. I saw a few panels from a manga where a kid realizes their eyes are missing? Only to wake up in a hospital bed with a doctor standing over them with scissors. I don't know the context, and it might have been from that book, but I think it must have been from a short one off manga.
4. Inspector Sonic. I don't think this exists anymore. There was this bad MS Paint animation of Sonic the hedgehog getting abilities like Inspector Gadget. It was bad and I loved it. The whole ass Inspector Gadget theme was cut into the middle of it. Inspector Shadow comes up when I look for it, but I don't think it's related. This was from 2009-2010 Youtube.
5. DUD, otherwise known as Do it urself dubbing. These guys used to do improv dubs of shows like Pokémon and Yugioh, sometimes even commercials and then post it to Youtube. They had enough of a following that I am shocked it has been entirely scrubbed from the internet. There was also a parody where Weevil sings about DUD to ACDC's TNT. This was 2006ish
6. The Johnny Cage's Funeral Audio. This was brought up in the lost media discord a long time ago. Nobody knows the origin of the audio? It might have been from a radio show? youtu.be/YYkWP1ICFsw
