Hi board.
New member here, I signed up especially just to ask about this, and I'm crap at message boards, so bear with me...
But years and years ago when I was a boy I would get up during the night and watch TV to help me relax (I have anxiety issues). I used to watch this really weird show on Sci Fi channel on Sky TV called Headf--k (or sometimes stylized as Headf**k) which aired at like 1AM, 2AM which was sort of a magazine program celebrating all things weird, unsettling, gratuitously violent and just downright bizarre. Later episodes had skits with David Icke in. The "mascot" was a bloodhound dog head / face and they would do continuity skits between their content with someone wearing a crude cardboard mask of the same face. The show featured a different music video every episide and introduced me to Aphex Twin and Director Chris Cunningham. I have a vivid memory of one short movie in one of the episodes being a guy getting shouted and screamed at behind a desk until his head exploded. Very graphically.
It aired for only a couple of years, maybe just under 2 at the most and disappeared some time around 2004/5 and may very well have been a UK / Great Britain transmission only show. Sci Fi Channel has rebranded a couple of times since then and there's no info on it on their website or anything. Using the wayback machine and checking the shows old URL has been mostly useless.
I've been on and off searching for episodes of it for a few years now, but have only ever been able to find a few low res clips on YouTube of a single episode. I'd love to have a collection of all the episodes again preserved as they aired back in 2002, if for nothing else to revisit the crazy stuff now that I'm older and less freaked out by it! I realise there is barely any chance that it just so happened to get archived by someone with a VHS player and some foresight but I kinda live in hope!
Any help, assistance, ideas, direction you can offer me would he hugely appreciated.
Thanks!
J
