I've been on a Looney Tunes kick recently and I just found out there was a cancelled cartoon called "For He's a Jolly Good Fala" that was to be directed by Bob Clampett and was going to center around President Roosevelt's dog Fala(who was a popular figure at the time)this unreleased short was actually the very first work Stan Freberg ever did for Warner Bros. The cartoon was cancelled in 1945 due to the tragic and sudden death of Roosevelt and as a result some of the footage was put into Fresh Airedale(though the two were completely separate cartoons). As for how far along production was, apparently the voices had been recorded(and presumably the music as well) but the animation was never finished. Personally i'd love to see the production materials for this short come back and have someone finish it using the recorded voices and music and all, that would be an amazing thing, i'm sure Jerry Beck would be all over it.
