Hello! I'm back at it again with local lost media! Today, I'm bringing in a TV show I used to watch RELIGIOUSLY every day.
The name: Programa Curt ("Short Show").
www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LHfYydWHnM
This was a show that aired in the now defunct channel K3 during weekday afternoons, around 7pm, during the late 2000s. It's possible the show aired on the programming block 3XL, but I'm not sure.
The show's a "compilation show", where in each episode they showcased 4 different shorts. At the beginning, end, and in-between shorts, there were segments made with the hosts of the show, two socks.
I believe all except the third short of each episode didn't have much to do between one another. I know that the third one was always a "A Town Called Panic" ("Un Poble Anomenat Panic" in catalan) short, which were my favorites. I think that's the only way those shorts were released in said language (Since there was also a Spanish translation of them called "Un Pueblo Llamado Pánico" that aired in the sattelite service Canal+ around the same time frame).
There are a few episodes avalible on Dailymotion, as well as in a catalan page called TotsRucs, or at least used to. I tried to find them but to no avail.
I would love to find this show not only for the A Town Called Panic shorts, but also because of nostalgia and the overall cultural importance I think it has.
A place to ask for it could be the catalan television archive (Archiu TV3 CatRadio twitter.com/ArxiuTV3CR ), but I don't think they would give out the episodes out of nowhere, probably due to copyright or who knows.
Another way could be VHS recordings of the time, since they were still being used by some households (Like mine lol I have VHS recordings up to around 2010, just not of this show).
I hope more can be found of it eventually!
