Reading the lost online video megathread made me think was there any YouTube videos I remember which are now no longer available and one sprung to mind but I don't remember the name of it or who posted it. I joined YouTube back in 2007-2008 and I played Irish whistles then. One of the channels I subscribed to was a man playing Irish whistles, but I no longer remember the channel name and I have since deleted the channel I had then so I have no way to check who I subscribed to on that channel. I don't quite remember when this video was uploaded but I am sure it was before 2013 possibly between 2007-2011, I am not sure. What I do remember is the video may have been dimly lit (don't quote me on that) and not very good quality. The man in the video was playing an Irish low D (I think it was low D, maybe low C) whistle , maybe have been made of wood and I think he was either playing "My Heart Will Go On" or "Inisheer" or he two videos, one for each tune. I do remember the audio had a slight reverb added. I remember at some point he removed the video from his channel, either unlisted it or took it down completely but left up most of his other whistle playing videos.
The reason I say the whistle he played may have been made of wood as I remember being part of a forum or group that involved Irish whistles. A tune was posted and everyone in the group posted audio recordings of themselves playing in the same tune. I still have some of these recordings people did, somewhere. One of the people mentioned a tree, possibly a Damson tree had come down in his garden or orchard and he was going to have one of the branches made into an low Irish whistle and it may have been him playing it but I can't say for certain if that is true.
Since there have been lots of people over the years posting videos of themselves playing whistles to YouTube, I doubt this will be easy to find. I am not sure if anyone knows the video or channel I am talking about, but any ideas what this could be, will be welcomed.
