Does anyone born around the late 90's - early 2000's remember eating Garfield pizza for lunch at school? I sure do, my friends who went to the same school do, and some people online have noted its existence. However, searching for anything related to the pizza will come up with nothing. With recognizable branding such as Garfield, its a surprise that theres no documentation of it ever existing besides word of mouth. Im simply looking for a picture or any information relating to the product. Not to be confused with the GarfieldEats restaurant that opened some years ago
Description: Garfield Pizza was a small personal pizza (likely frozen) that was served in a cardboard box with Garfield branding. It featured a comic strip on the underside of it. Im pretty sure these comics were unique, since i remember them being pizza related, which also make them lost as well.
Time Frame: You could find these being served in school lunches around the late 2000's and early 2010's. I specifically remember getting them around 2012.
What I Know: www.change.org/p/department-of-education-bring-back-garfield-pizza-to-public-school-lunch-menus This is the only thing related to the pizza i can find online, confirming its existence, but narrowing down the pool of other people who know of it down to 37 (36 signers + the OP). Like I've said, my friends who went to the same school also remember it. Some brands of school pizza that ive confirmed did not produce it are Tony's, Red baron, Uno, Totinos, and Big Daddy's. Its also worth knowing that the box may have come separately, simply being a package to store the baked pizzas in, but i doubt it.
If anyone remembers this or has any information regarding the fabled pizza, please post the information you have
