Hello, I believe that somebody else has brought this video up before here. I came upon it when searching google for "Idioteque 'skin'".
This was a fan-made music video for the song Idioteque by Radiohead, possibly the most well-known song off their fourth album Kid A. It was not official, clearly created by a fan of the band. From what I recall, it had a decent-amount of views, as it was the first video that came up when one searched "Idioteque" on Google. I remember the description saying it was uploaded in 2012 or 2013. I don't remember much of it, but here's what I recall:
The video had a title card. It wasn't a full-on title card like one would see on Windows Movie Maker, rather it appeared in the corner on a red block. The title card read "Radiohead - Idioteque".
The video reflected the repetitive nature of the song's lyrics, as repetitive video clips would be played over and over to the music. They were entirely black and white. Typically multiple would be played at a time. The only one I, (and the other poster), can recall is one of a man ripping something off of his skin. The other poster seems to recall the man ripping his very skin off, but I remember it being a face-mask like thing (kind of like what Patrick Bateman wears in American Psycho). Although, he was ripping it off his arms, not his face.
The video was at least two minutes shorter than the song. It ended shortly after the second chorus. Thus cutting out the outro and the final refrain of "And the children".
If anyone can recall this video, or has a download of it, that would be very helpful.
were the video clips live-action or were they animated? or were they a mix of both? if they were live-action, were they samples from film or television? if they were animated, what kind of animation was used?
i found a fan-made music video by blackwright and a much shorter "blipvert" for the song, but unfortunately neither of them seem to depict a man ripping his skin off like you've described here. they both cut off before the final vocal section, and blackwright's video features a very brief title card that says "Idioteque" in red letters
