When I was little, pretty much the only piece of technology my family could afford was a small TV and a beaten up CD player, and the only CDs we had for it were either sold for very cheap price or found at a thrift store. Nevertheless, I used to listen to the few CDs we owned over and over again.
The specific song I'm looking for has been stuck in my head like an earworm many times since I was a kid, but I've never been able to find it. It was on a CD of kids songs, with kids singing short songs to simple tunes. It was called "The very short song", or something like that, and it was a variation of "Be Kind to Your Web-Footed Friends" (which is to the tune of "Stars and Stripes Forever"), except, instead of the lyrics repeating over and over again like in the original song, the lyrics were just:
"Be kind to your web-footed friends For a duck could be somebody's mother You may think that this is the end And it is"
I was born in the early 2000s, and I'm pretty sure I remember having the CD when I was as young as four. Unfortunately that's the best time period I have for it, and because it was likely found at a thrift store, it could be even older than me.
I wonder if it was Wee Sing. They were a popular series of children songs and they released a bunch of songbooks, tapes, and CDs.
Here the song on their YouTube
Unfortunately that's not it. Similar, though. The one I remember had at least two different voices singing, one girl and one boy sounding voice. There could've been more singing, but I remember there was at least those two.
