Probably around 1996 or 1997 my babysitter gave me and my sister dolls that I haven't really seen anyone talk about when it comes to nostalgic toys.
We got two variations, mine was a Caucasian blonde girl and her's was a Caucasian brunette girl. They had cloth bodies but their hands, feet, and head were plastic with rooted hair. Their feet were sneakers with an identical mold but each doll had a different color. Their clothes were cloth but sewn to them so your could not remove it. The color pallet was very bright almost neon like orange, yellow, pink, and cyan. I remember them coming with accessories. One came with a tire swing. I don't remember what the other one came with, maybe a jump rope. They were also about the size as a Skipper or Stacie doll, so shorter than a Barbie.
Something that might help is noting that I am from the US but my babysitter was from Switzerland. She did sometimes give us European boardgames. So there might be a small possibility the doll line might be from Europe not North America.
UPDATE:
I think I found them! They are called Playground Kids
I had the orange one
There doesn't seem to be a lot of info about the dolls except that they came out in the 90s.
EDIT:
There doesn't seem to be a write up about the dolls. There is a logo of ERTL which was a toy company that specialized in dye-cast cars and were bought out in 1999 to another toy car company. I think this is one of the few times they tried making a doll.
Were these fashion dolls or baby dolls? Did they have any distinguishing facial features? And what sort of size were they in maybe comparison to a Barbie?

I just added that they were smaller than a Barbie but maybe around the size of a Skipper or Stacie doll (maybe closer to Stacie). Their features were that of a girl who was maybe 8 to 10 years old, so they looked like a kid not a teen or baby. They wore pants. And I think one of the pants had pokka dots.

I know that Sindy had a couple of soft bodied dolls. Sindy was the UK's answer to Barbie so if your babysitter was bringing things over from Europe they could possibly be those. I haven't seen a brunette Sindy on a soft body though.

I don't think that it was her. They did have bright colors like the left image.
