For a long time I've had the memory of these iMac games that was loaded on school computers when I was younger. I decided to make this thread to see if anyone else had any info on them. I'm more specifically interested in the creepy point-and-click, but it may have come in some kind of bundle with the Pool game so I've included information about it as well. I also remember there being more games than the two mentioned in this post but I can't remember any details about them.
General Info:
The games we're loaded onto iMac G3's which I believe were the Bondi Blue 1998 variety. My memory of the games could have been from any time between 2005-2011, around the time when I attended the school, but were more likely around 2007-2009.
Pool Table Physics Game:
It was Billiard Pool except I don't remember it having much of a scoring system or gameplay, it was really more like a physics sim based around Pool. You could change settings like how much friction the Pool table had and could mess with objects on the Pool table, kind of like if someone made a version of the Interactive Buddy games but for Pool. I can't remember much of the objects you could mess with but I think you could place holes, and mess with the topography of the table. I think the "table" itself was just green rectangle that took up most of the screen.
Creepy Point-and-Click:
This is the game I was most interested in finding and it was the main reason I made this thread. It stood out to me as something oddly creepy to have loaded on a school computer. I can't remember much about the game, mainly because I didn't choose to play it often and I wasn't capable of getting very far into it.
I remember the theming of the game seemed intentionally creepy, I think it was mainly in desaturated tones or greyscale and used cryptic language to describe what you were supposed to do to progress. I believe it was some kind of Point-and-Click game where you move around different locations which were represented by still images, and you would try to pick up objects in the locations to progress.
The part that stuck out to me were these objects in the game, I think you could pick them up but they may have just been part of the map or menu. I believe they resembled the heads of the Ao Oni character from the game of the same name. Ao Oni was actually what jogged my memory to the existence of this game in the first place, since I though it's face looked so much like what I remembered from the game. The objects were like idols or figurines and I think just consisted of heads. I believe they were white/grey and appeared like distorted faces, potentially pictures of real peoples faces that had been warped in an editing software.
If anyone can remember these games or provide information on what they may have been it would be much appreciated.
