This is one of the MOST hated bands of all time, their music quality is worse than Cocomelon, and I'll say Triumph, (the other band someone mentioned in a post) is better.

Personally, I think that the hate for Nickelback post-Silver Side Up is completely warranted, as they are the definition of a band selling out, refusing to expand and grow as artists, just content with attempting to reproduce the success of "How You Remind Me" over and over for 20-some years. However, I will contend that their first two albums, Curb and The State, are still really good hard rock albums, and I would recommend them to any fan of rock, and just ignore the rest of their catalog. My personal favorite tracks from each album:

Nah it's completely unwarranted when there are WAY fucking worse bands out there like Fallout Boy and Maroon 5. Personally I think the term "selling out" is so massively overrused now that it's lost whatever meaning it had so if that's peoples big complaint about NB then i'm sorry that's just not a good enough reason to act like "ZOMG they're one of the worst bands evah!"
They HAVE in fact "expanded and grown" as artists, people that claim they haven't have more then likely only ever heard the hits(and not even all of the hits at that) and nothing else. No not EVERY hit song they've done is an attempt at making another "How You Remind Me?", that right there is blatantly false and something many NB haters parrot lazily without actually doing the research. Like this song for example sounds nothing remotely like that one:
Here's proof that they have in fact grown(no joke for the first song i've seen many comments from people on Youtube whose lives were literally saved by that song as it stopped them from committing suicide, so that alone is reason enough that the hatred against them is not in fact "warranted" at all. Also the last song really hit home for me after Drumpf got elected and a lot of people like myself were worried about the 2018 midterms and now it's feeling relevant again now for a number of reasons):
