ABRAID
Abraid was a nu metal band from Murfreesboro, TN active from 1998 to mid September 2002. They consisted of Tom Burns (vocals), Steve Ritchey (guitar), Mark Anthony (bass), and Preston Pickrell (drums). They seemed to be pretty popular within the Murfreesboro music scene at the time. Here is their surprisingly well-archived site: web.archive.org/web/20020607231851/http://www.abraid.com/
Within their short lifetime, they released 1 album and 2 EPs. Their album, titled Tomorrow Was Waiting (2002), as well as their EP Nightmerica (2002), are both available for free download online from Tom's actual bandcamp I've linked. My main focus here is their other EP Genetically Altered For A Brighter, More Effecient Tomorrow, which is partially lost. (yes, they spelt efficient wrong on the cover lol)
Tom's bandcamp has a few Abraid demos, which include the Genetically Altered tracks Bright Black Nothing (which was also on Nightmerica) and Downtown. The other songs Clean Break, From Me To Used, and Bright Black Nothing (Radio Edit) are currently still lost. The demo albums he has listed also include some one-off songs unlisted on Discogs, so that's nice!
All of Genetically Altered was recently made "available for download" on a very shady website, and I'm definitely not brave enough to risk getting a virus on my poor little laptop for 3 lost songs. I do not believe that this site actually has this EP. The comments are so fake it hurts. The download button leads to some bullshit sign-up page. It's just very obviously a fake download. But, I am unable to find this EP anywhere else, and no one on Discogs has it. If anyone can find a way to download it, it would definitely be appreciated, but I doubt this is actually a download for it. masigroup.it/Abraid/Genetically-Altered-Brighter-More/65418
FALLING DOWN
Falling down was some screaming-heavy nu metal and a result of Abraid breaking up and creating a new band, still established in Murfreesboro. They were active from mid November 2002 to their unfortunate final show on June 19th, 2004. Preston ended up leaving them, and Falling Down now consisted of Tom Burns (vocals), Mason Dixon (guitar), Steve Ritchey (guitar), Mark Jeffries (bass), and Bart Sallee (drums). Bart quit after recording their currently available songs, and after a while of searching for a new drummer, they found Ben Stix to go to shows with them. Not long after they picked up Ben, they broke up. Their archived website is here: web.archive.org/web/20021122030820/http://fallingdownmusic.com/
They released free demos of their music, which aren't archived, unfortunately. They released a CD titled Space, which consists of 5 tracks. Tom uploaded 7 demo songs on his bandcamp, which include these 5 tracks and 2 other demos listed on the FD site. I'm unsure if Space has different recordings from what Tom uploaded on his bandcamp. the link is here: fictionaluniverse.bandcamp.com/album/demo-2004
But yeah. Essentially I'm just here trying to archive their music, find the rest of Genetically Altered, and maybe find out if Space has refined versions of the 5 tracks in the demo Tom listed. Through writing this, I actually discovered Tom's bandcamp, which is crazy to me. I had no idea it was a thing and that Falling Down's music on there. I thought it was lost. He actually still makes music, but it's paywalled.

Anyways, thank you for reading. If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated <3
