Hey all, Manhunter (the first film adaptation of Red Dragon) has a few different cuts out there that you can readily buy on DVD or Blu Ray. But the network TV edit is very different, being renamed "Red Dragon: The Curse of Hannibal Lecter" as Silence of the Lambs had a lot of hype behind it at the time. This is significant as the movie was originally going to be called "Red Dragon" but after a movie called "Year of the Dragon" bombed, it was changed to Manhunter. This TV cut is edited for swearing and violence, but includes the deleted scenes from the directors cut, and the original title in the Neon font at the beginning. This cut has never been released on Home Video and I doubt they ever show it on TV anymore.
