You know Gashi-gashi right? That artist from Japan known for Bommina the Maidroid and drawing fanart of western cartoons. Well, there is one artist who traces and/or steals art from him named SarahsLittleHat. If you don't know who she is, she is a Tumblr artist infamously known for tracing Gashi-gashi's artworks. She got so much controversy and criticisms that she got banned from Tumblr.
So far, we have the full art of her doodles that she didn't trace from him (which are in Russian) which can be seen below.
As for the art that is traced from Gashi Gashi we have these two gifs that show the side-by-side comparisons by both of these artworks fading each other
There are also some still images of some of these artworks from Sara and Gashi-gashi that shows they got traced from the original.
So yeah... those are the only pieces of Sara's art that we have. Until they get full archived, they will remain a mystery. (omg why am I talking like LSSQ? I just kept watching his videos lol)

Stuff like this should remain lost. It's just shameless plagiarism profiting off of someone else's hard work. Why should this be preserved?

By that logic, Gashi-Gashi's work should become lost because he copies characters from designers and artists who also work hard.
In any case, Sarah seems to have gained some notoriety on the internet, so her work constitutes internet history now.

Thanks for that. I would have assumed they were in Serbian.
There are far more important concerns for these forums than some irrelevant internet drama from years ago. And I don't think you can compare this plagiarists art to gashi's work. Gashi draws copyrighted characters, but isn't copying poses they make verbatim like this artist was.
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."
These forums have enough room for all kinds of media.
So if copying characters is ok, then taking advantage of other people's work isn't the issue. But if copying poses is the problem, then any art made using pose references isn't worth saving.
An obvious retort would be that the problem is the combination of using other people's effort and poses, but this doesn't really hold up because effort does go into making pose references.

I think she’s talking about the original work she did, not the traced garbage

Have you tried to visit any of the links found in the corners of the comics? Or are they all defunct?

This just feels like an excuse for tracing.

^ I won't argue with that, but I'd like to add that I wasn't just thinking of inspiration, but also of using the techniques and styles of others.
At this point, I could say something like "great artists steal," but I don't think that actually applies to this case.
I think I'll leave it at this: I can appreciate that there was controversy, but I've decided to place myself outside the controversy. Perhaps it was the pre-existing controversy that drew me towards this art in the first place. Is that a paradox, or does it make everything fall into place?
I agree that this isn't of extreme high value or need of preservation, but this seems like a fun search tbh. Finding lost art from old Tumblr archives sounds just up my alley, lol. I think it'd be fun to see just how much plagiarized content there is here.
