I believe the issue would have been from summer 2002. All I remember from it was Sonic running from a giant spider and some type of Acorn family meeting.
And on that note, that character "encyclopedia" that was mentioned in the comics (also likely in 2002) would also be appreciated. I really enjoyed the summaries of all the characters and how they changed in the course of the comics.
