No not ALL TV shows are "Extremely easy" to find that's not even remotely close to being true, there's a ton of lost TV shows that haven't been seen since they first premiered(I.E. early TBS sitcoms like Rocky Road)shows that weren't reran very often(The Jersey) and shows that either had unreleased episodes(Kirk, Movie Stars) or weren't released period(Murder Police, The Ortegas)and some shows had their soundtracks changed for home releases(Dawson's Creek, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Sister Sister, Felicity, Everwood). That's not even getting into old shows with lost episodes(original Dr Who)due to the tapes missing.
I'm well aware of the DVD releases of the show, problem is they don't contain all the original versions of episodes, Rachel's First Date originally had a different opening without Urkel(once the show became popular and Urkel was introduced season 1 episodes had new opening with Urkel tacked on for later TV airings)and the season 1 DVD had the original non-Urkel openings for every episode except that one for some bizarre reason and the original season 2 premiere airing with the following episode had extra footage that hasn't been seen since it's original airing(it was a similar deal with episodes of Full House and That 70s Show and I believe the season 2 premiere of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as well).
Rocky road has people you can ask, jersey has people archiving it you can ask, "unreleased episodes" can be requested from whoever has the ip, murder police never existed, "the ortegas" isn't a show, the "home releases" are not the Netflix version, and shows from 80 years ago are irrelevant.
All of these are easy to find and every worthless TV series is always kept alive by the ip if nothing else.
uh no it's not that simple dude, Murder Police DOES in fact exist, FOX just randomly decided to cancel the show before airing it for some reason, they've done that a few times in the past. www.facebook.com/MurderPolice/
The Ortegas IS in fact a show, it just never got released is all, are you completely foreign to the concept of lost media or something? www.imdb.com/title/tt0364854/
Seriously quit trolling, it's not funny and you're just derailing threads.
Also most people that worked on a show won't just randomly give you episodes cause you ask them because they either don't have them or can't legally do so.

Your trolls are as always of exceptionally poor quality. Any actual TV show that ever existed is easy to find, your only objection is episodes that never existed at all.
As for your specific question this is entirely a publisher screw-up, anything like that would have been on any DVD they release. If they didn't you can just ask them and if they don't have the tapes then this is actually lost media.
nah only troll here is you and the only of an "exceptionally poor quality" here is your weak spammy posts, you've repeatedly derailed multiple threads with your nonsense(seriously WTF does "global liberalism" have to do with the Internet Archive? nobody cares).
We don't know for sure it is a "publisher screw up"(WTF does a publisher have to do with anything anyways, unless you meant distributor).
Wow you really don't get how lost media works do you? No it's not in fact "lost" if the creator does not have it because there's always a chance somebody taped the original airings, that's how similar extended versions of episodes of Full House and That 70s Show were found, they weren't ever put on DVD or streaming but they survived through fan-recordings. Is this seriously a completely foreign concept to you? Honestly i'm not sure why you're even on this forum as all i've seen you do is either post nonsense completely unrelated to the topic at hand or be all negative nancy. Seriously knock it off, nobody here asked for this.

So this thread is doubly redundant as the new release will correct the screw up... and your media will be found.

uh no it isn't, we don't know for sure if the new release will in fact have those new scenes or not, in the past we've seen new releases that seemed like they would have uncut versions but ultimately did not like, like the new DVD releases of Garfield and Friends by 9 Story, people like myself thought since they used the American TV prints instead of the PAL ones like previous sets used that we might finally be getting uncut versions of seasons 1 and 2 with all of the missing Quickies intact but that turned out to not be the case.
The only thing "redundant" here are your obtuse and spammy posts that contribute absolutely nothing to the topic whatsoever.

But the thread itself is redundant because you can just email the dude.
So why does anyone think it's different? I don't understand
This thread could have been answered by an email.
I'm not so sure but I am someone who does not understand what the subject is. Is the subject this being an extended cut of an episode? If so where is the information to support this? Just another airing of a TV show with original commercials? OK I can *get* that, but what is the particular significance of this episode? Are there people in the Family Matters fandom saying that it has extended scenes, scenes cut out of the DVDs, what?

Yes it is the extended cut of an episode-according to OP the season 2 premiere of Family Matters originally aired together with the 2nd episode of the season and had some extended footage that was not present in any future airings or home releases of those episodes and it's not the only show for this to be the case-There was an episode of Full House and an episode of That 70 Show which were originally an hour-long and had extra footage that was never shown again after the first airings, those were fortunately found through fan-recordings. The original season 2 premiere of Sabrina the Teenage Witch also originally aired with extra footage that hasn't been seen since(as the two-part episode "Sabrina Gets Her License" was originally aired as one hour long episode as opposed to syndication, DVD and streaming where it's split up into two episodes)and shows like Will and Grace had super-sized episodes that were 40 minutes long which weren't released on DVD(except for one season 7 episode that was put on an Emmy screener DVD) or streaming so they only survived through fan-recordings(hell even a couple of regular episodes for some bizarre reason got trimmed for syndication and only those syndicated versions were ever put on DVD or streaming).
uh no it could not have. Seriously why are you even bothering to post on this forum at all if all you're going to do is be negative to everyone else?
Says the non emailer of the dude.
email who genius? Seriously enough with your spamming and derailing topics, if you've got nothing actually useful to contribute to this thread then go bother someone else, nobody asked for your uninformed spam posts.
