To the fact of knowing the Mysterious song, most of my life emotionally.
I can feel attracted, to this song on a deep and personal level.
I tried to connect with others about my intimate childhood memories and experiences.
But, they didn't understand.
So i'm here to say again what I can recall now, out of my memories that are almost completely gone.
Once I heard it in 2018, while my family were arguing, so they sent me off to my grandmothers.
While going to grandmas, on the way/drive there, i was yearning for something reliving, and the radio had been dry for the first 5-10 mins.
Around Kaboni road, the song was 3/4 almost one once we reached (bayview)'s turnoff around (7:40-8:40) near the church.
The song I remember hearing in 2018, was on a radio station 94.1, i checked the name of the song, but the screen said [no info]/[--].
The song had vocals that were Echoed, and also A stereo depth echo that oscillating from left to right. (surround sound was active).
I had a flashback to all of my childhood intimate senses, when the song had come on.
I thought some boring background 80s song would've, I didn't expect it!
I had extreme vertigo for the first 30 seconds.
I first heard this song, was far back as when I was three years old.
I went to orrilla, and I was in the back of whatever truck I was in.
I felt small, and also asked why the sky had a purple look to it.
I had around a few minimal questions on that trip.
I heard Tms because my dad turned on the radio, around noon.
(I also asked my dad at grandmas to have the *all night cars rock song* on the cars movie)
I heard all the songs, from AcDc’s Highway to hell and Def Leppard’s song.
They played Hystria near tms though, as well as (Don’t Fear) The Reaper.
But tms was not significant in track order.
(1/2/3/4)-host talks-(1/2/3/4)-hosts talks...etc.
The song was on a second list, and was the 3rd one on that particular track, (second to last track).
I do remember hearing nirvana after tms though, (around like 15 mins after).
And little after, turning down the driveway.
There was grass on both sides on the highway.
This drive they're covered in snow.
(made it look dark and blue, reflected from the moonlight).
It made all the better, for the experience of the songs.
When I got to the house, my family rented.
We got settled in, I slept into my room alone for the first time.
It was scary for me, for the first time alone way from home.
Far from, my own mother,
Away from my known places.
I slept inside a room with, the house facing towards the upcoming highway,
[I cried the first few nights, tiring my mother,
Who was only trying to tend to my need.
But because the night was so overwhelming for me,
I felt sad that the day, was ending.
The song had touch me, in very special way.]
So that i could see the passing cars,
I made a game to pass the time off,
So everytime any vehicle came by at the time I saw it intently I won.
[The very first few nights, because of that explosion of emotions,
Felt very isolated, and fulfilled at night.
But yet, dreading that the day where the emotional outburst,
had already ended.
I felt emotionally exhausted, I also may have heard Cars-Gary numen.]
I felt a vary special kind a childhood thought process because of it,
I felt a fascination of background car countings, and
(My innocence and curiosity,)
Fancinaty of long night drives.
Driving in general.
Due to how my childhood played out,
and
Like my
[KIDs camera, my sense of loving to explore and talking pictures]
[Little Tikes, tv plug in game, my sense of Driving vehicles].
And once I bought a toy where you have a brush and a tiny fuzzy toy animal,
while my drive, once in the place, near a mount peak with radio cell towers.
Idk where this was but somewhere in barry,
There was only wheat farms, and i bought a roll of,
[hubba bubba roll gum:purple] and took it out and took a whole bite of the roll.
(due to my curiosity) like is it possible to do this?
And got in trouble for it.
Got a candy bar after getting a haircut, and just slightly after a dentist appointment, I don't remember having, I only can tell based on context clues and vibes from the dentist. Not the whole memory though.
The band sounds like, they make songs in a story-kinda way.
I can relate, to the song as if it, was telling me my story, or interpretation.
The house I can remember as light as day, a few years ago.
It was like 2007 was just behind me, and all around me.
I found out I was actually remembering 2007, cuz I did an age calculation.
I love wearing a light brown sweater for some reason.
I do remember a dog in that driveway, but I don't remember anything else.
I remember some more songs that I keep missing, there's a 60s song similar to the tms riff, that has a lady voice. Country rock and 60s music are the hardest ones to find, whenever i think of those types of songs i think they're lost or obscure.
My favorite song of all time to hear on my childhood road trips even to day, is the song
Sunny days-Lighthouse.
The Tms song, i heard was around dark or noon.
[like before a hockey game or practice!]
Or
[Driving on a road trip]
The other songs that i cant place a finger on, are the ones i would hear occasionally in a specific time or setting.
Once moment i can recall, is hearing the song
Romantic traffic, reminds me of tms
Only heard this in toronto.
I rarely heard this on my home radio.
Spoons are the only comparison that sound instrumentally similar to tms.
Others include…
The Cure
Gary Numan
XTC
Spoons
Interpretations of the song is that it's about a breakup
1980s rock song about social isolation in homesickness
Progressive rock or New Romantic.
I think of it as a song about loneliness.
