Before the 2009 torture-horror film THE COLLECTOR was made, it was initially pitched under the title THE MIDNIGHT MAN, with Marcus Dunstan to direct from a script by himself and Patrick Melton. The film at one point was optioned to be a SAW prequel, but was refused.
To secure funding for this project, they made a concept trailer that they'd use to the pitch the project to potential investors to get the full feature film made.
In 2007, they gave a copy of this trailer on a DVD to Dread Central's Johnny Butane.
