A few years ago (maybe like 2019) I remember seeing ads for a live action kids’ movie that was similar to Peter Pan or Alice in Wonderland. It appeared to take place in Victorian times and had a predominately Black cast. I’m thinking it was a direct to streaming movie, but it could have been because of Covid. I know it wasn’t on Disney + or Hulu.
It could be Netflix's Jingle Jangle, it has a lot what you mentioned, kids movie, straight to streaming, predominant black cast and a victorian setting. The plot isn't as inspired by Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan, but it's pretty fun christmas movie.

Good suggestion, but I don’t think that was it. I don’t recall the movie I saw ads for being a Christmas film, and it didn’t strike as being particularly comedic. Nevertheless, if I get Netflix again I might have to check this one out.
