This is a question I've wanted to ask for a while, as I attempted to make a LMW article for that Oswald/Ozzy Osbourne crossover ad, but it was deleted within a few hours. I have been wanting to make an article for a different piece of lost media which I actually made a thread about, which is the series of 6 Making Fiends promotional bumpers of which only 5 are available online in full, but don't know if that would be notable enough to warrant an article, therefore being deleted.

That's one of the hard things about writing articles because one person's trash is another's treasure. As an example, I geek out when I found out some shot on video horror movie from the 80s or 90s got rediscovered. But to some, an article on such a movie feels silly and a waste of time. The came can go for missing videos from YouTubers or some theorized piece of religious text that the scholarly world debates the existence of.

For me, the stepping point is having a basic amount of information to go off of to start it in the first place and going from there. Gather what you can, shop it around, and hope others can get involved if they found something that can help to keep it fresh and polished.

Personally, I feel that sources which can prove its notability is required, though it is in case-by-case situation.

However, I'd like to say that the sources for lost media is already hard to find and some lost media may be popular at their time or their region but is unknown nowadays or in English-speaking regions.

I've wondered the same thing. There's this death metal band with a unreleased demo and I genuinely have no idea if it warrants an article or not. While the band in question on it's own would be too obscure for most to care about, the one of the members went on to create a relatively more popular one. Does this person's involvement justify the demo having an article?
