Ok, I may have some new speculation on this topic.
This right here is the Italian television spot for the Atomic series:
It is interesting to note that the spot uses footage from the Second Series shorts, as each of the old series spots either used no clips from the shorts at all or they used clips from the corresponding series short (First, Second and Third series come to mind, alongside Mythos and even Final Evolution if I remember correctly). This was because the shorts were at first produced as advertisements, with their vhs/dvds sold alongside other products like the playsets.
The fact that the Atomic spot is kind of the outlier here makes me think that my theory is probably correct, meaning that the Atomic short was probably produced after the Atomic series ended in Italy. This probably leans more to an absence of an Italian dub for "Il Grande Inganno", but I would still try to ask somebody from its production just to be sure, as they may have ended up dubbing it in Italian too without releasing it (similarly to the Mystica Lava arts situation).
Sorry, I totally forgot too! I won't be where the dvd is until the end of august :c
So... Any news?
I'm finally back with all the names on the DVD. I've just read your theory concerning the italian atomic commercial, and I personally think it makes sense too...however I really wish THEY could give us a precise explanation q.q
Here are the names that appear on the ending credits in "La Grande Eclissi":
I'm honestly very surprised there's no mention of the actual voice actors...?

Yeah, an official confirmation would be cool, but that's why we need some reachable names. Speaking of which, I thought you were talking about having the names on the credits for "Grande Inganno" and "The Legend Begins", not for the other shorts. Of course, we can also try contacting some people from the Second Series short, but having actual names from the real deals would probably be better (especially if we find some Italian dudes in there).
About that, I remembered that there are Youtube rips of those two shorts that also contain the credits:
Here we can see some interesting things. For starters, the productions are completely Italian in nature, but also, there are some reoccurring names in there it seems. However, the credits for "The Legend Begins" (which are more well-organised than the others) specifically says "For Giochi Preziosi U.S.A.", which isn't very promising...
Anyway, take a good look, then, our next move should be to contact some of these folks to see if they know anything. I'm having a very busy period right now, so unfortunately don't count on me for this one...

Same here unfortunately...I'll be very busy with my uni exams 😥😣
I recently rewatched both the "Grande Inganno" short [GI in short] and its follow-up ("Eclissi Finale" [EF in short], the Third Series short movie) and I noticed some probable new proof that "Grande Inganno" was created later on and so that it was probably never distributed for the Italian market (unfortunately).
The first thing is that the models used in GI are the same ones from EF. The Old Sage model, the Eye of Life model, the models for the places like Astreg and for the shared characters (The Atomic lords). Heck, even Roscalion's and Tentaclion's models are the same ones from the later Mythos short, that was built with the same engine of EF. This leads me to believe that they created the new engine and assets for the Third Series and Mythos shorts and then later they reused them for GI.
Then, I noticed that, at the start of EF, there is a recap of the Atomic storyline, which has never happened before or after in a Gormiti short, as they always expected you to be caught up in the current lore; yet, this time, they felt the need to summarize what happened during the Atomic storyline, as if they hadn't done the Atomic short yet.
Also, in this same summary, there are some scenes that also appear inside GI, like Elios shaking hands with Orrore Profondo (whose English name should be Deepdown Fear if I'm not mistaken); however, these scenes aren't 100% identical, the version present inside GI looks more polished and it uses the correct colors. If EF came after GI they would have reused those scenes as they were, they wouldn't have created new inferior ones just for the summary.
So, with everything we have uncovered so far, I'm more and more inclined to believe that, unfortunately, they never created an Italian dub for both "Grande Inganno" and "The Legend Begins". However, an official confirmation from those names in their credits should be still undertaken.
Hi there, I've stumbled upon some new interesting infos regarding this topic.
This video was found on Youtube; the channel belongs to the person who aninated the Third Series and Mythos shorts:
As you can see, the video also contains footage from the Grande Inganno short, once again confirming the theory I've been parading all this time about the timeframe of creation of this short.
On one hand the timeframe makes so that the dub is unlikely, however this may also mean that the dub actually exists since it was produced at the same time as the following shorts. In short, the hunt is still on. Unfortunately I don't think we can ask anything to this animator as I don't think he would know of a dub existence or lack thereof.
