Just a couple of minutes ago, i started watching a Bob's burgers episode that aired back in October, and at the beginning there was a simpsons thing that said "in loving memory of betty white." I checked the date of the recording, (jan 16, 22) and then checked what simpsons episode aired that day, but it was also a rerun from october. I also went and checked the episodes that aired around that time, but the only new one was The Longest Marge, which had an in memory card for John Madden. What I'm not sure about is if the betty white card at the end of Bart's in jail is a one time thing, or it's going to be part of all future airings. I know this isnt truly lost media but it could become one

I'm seeing a line on TV Tropes that mentions the episode being "Lisa's Belly", and not "Bart's in Jail"
"oooh, you're a- a freaked out child in the woods..."

I will have to check that episode (although its likely the recording i have is the original airing)

I saw it and it did say it was lisa's belly. Do they normally keep these in the reruns or is it usually one tine things
I'm not sure. The episode itself seems to have nothing to do with Betty White either. If you still have the recording, I'd upload it immediately. This is a very unusual mystery.

I still do, its not the simpsons episode but the bob's burgers episode that came after it. It shows up at the very beginning and i will take a picture/video of it. I might also do the same with the John Madden one at the end of the longest marge, although i would think that one would stay around since the episode is about football
I just now took pics of the john madden and betty white ones. If i knew how to add pics here i would (i'm on mobile) Or if theres another way to upload pics somewhere let me know
The latest episode has one dedicated to someone named Ian Wilcox, who i just found out was a background artist for the show. i'll try to get a pic of it one day

I don't think that it is unusual for The Simpsons to have memorial mentions at the ends of episodes that have nothing to do with the person who the message is in memoriam of. The 2002 episode, "Poppa's Got a Brand New Badge", had an end message which said that the episode was in memoriam of Stephen Jay Gould, who had appeared in one previous episode from 1997, but the 2002 episode did not involve him and was not about his profession.
I will have to check that episode (although its likely the recording i have is the original airing)

Its usually a one time thing. The only time any show keeps a "in memory" card in reruns is if it was a frequent actor or somebody directly involved with the shows production.

My guess is then the Ian Wilcox one will always be part of that episode since he was a background designer
