Hello All
First time poster here but follower of several Lost Media YouTubers.
I've posted this across Reddit but to no avail and am hoping this forum will be my last hope.
This is based purely on memory and after extensive searches online, I'm not able to find anything but the memory is pretty vivid.
Back in the 90s, I remember a sweepstakes Cartoon Network had where a lucky kid got to be a host on Cartoon Network (or possibly just the show Cartoon Planet).
The specific scene I remember is the kid dressed as Space Ghost on Cartoon Planet. He is live action but Brak, Zorak, and Space Ghost are present in their cartoon form ala Roger Rabbit style.
The bit goes something like: The kid acts as if he is the real Space Ghost, but the actual Space Ghost tries to call him out as an imposter, Brak says he can't tell the different between the two. Actual Space Ghost asks the kid his name, kid goes "Space Ghost". Actual Space Ghost says something like "What's your REAL name?" Kid goes nonchalantly, "Space Ghost". Brak says some thing like "Well I'm convinced" inferring he think the kid is the real Space Ghost.
The kid may have only been hosting Cartoon Planet but it could have been a whole day of him introducing cartoons and whatnot and this was just a single bit. I think this would have been like a Saturday or Sunday afternoon block.
This would have been during Cartoon Planet's heyday so late 90's for sure. I feel like this was not that heavily promoted at the time and I remember the kid not having a whole lot of charisma to be on TV so it sort of felt like a dud of a sweepstakes CN just sort of swept under the rug.
It's worth noting I actually tweeted Andy Merrill, voice of Brak, and he says he doesn't remember this at all.
Hoping someone can possibly confirm but if no one else remembers this, looks like I will have to let it go.
