Is it okay to make a new thread for an old search?

I made a thread in 2019 about the vectorman "play to win" contest and though the thread itself went nowhere there has been some new details and discoveries since therefore I would like to make a new thread in hopes of reaching more people. Is that against any of the forums rules and if so are there other places I could post about it?
