IS THIS REALLY THE CATSCRATCH PLIOT?!!

Yeah sometimes cartoon pilots are nothing more than test animations or reels and sometimes there aren't even any pilots at all. Jimmy Two Shoes is a good example of a series that had a test animation rather than a real pilot and Ed, Edd N' Eddy didn't have any pilot but was picked up instantly so the first episode is sometimes considered the pilot.

The Wiki article also said that Doug uploaded the animation reel himself so I would believe that this is really all that exists.

Elaborating further: it follows the same plot as the pitch pilot, with the three brothers going to the toy store so that Gordon can (secretly) buy a special doll for Human Kimberly. I also believe it's longer in length, as there's scenes from back at their house.



Sadly, I can't find that bible I mentioned in the last post, but it was out there at one point.

Below are images that I believe are from this undiscovered version of the pilot, sourced from the intro. Notice how Waffle is a bit of a darker gray than he usually is:



Now, this last image probably isn't from the pilot, as Gordon has green eyes and Waffle has his signature lighter shade of grey fur, but it might be of note since it appears to take place from inside a toy store.

Okay, with the photos and the plot of this. Here is what I think might of happened in the pliot.




It starts with the three cat brothers getting into their monster truck, gear.

Mr. Blik started the car.

Mr. Blik.
To the toy store.

Mr. Blik accidentally drove the car backwards.

The cats arrived at the toy store.

Mr. Blik
Okay, here is what we need, we need a backpack, and a whole lot of more things.

Gordon
Boss, we also need to get a doll for my Girlfriend.

Mr. Blik
SHUT UP GORDON! Wait wait, what, GIRLFRIEND!!??

Gordon
You know Blik I need to get a doll for Human Kimberly you know.

Mr. Blik.
GORDON YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW MY ORDERS, SO LISTEN TO ME, DON’T GET THE DOLL.

Gordon talking to himself
Hmm, I won’t listen to Blik. I’m going to get that doll for Kimberly.

Gordon
Okay here we go.

Gordon grabs a teddy bear.

Gordon
Oh this must be what I need.

The teddy bear pees on Gordon.

Gordon
Ah ha! The last teddy bear in the toy store.

Gordon grabs the Teddy Bear.

Mr. Blik
Yeah, the girls will love me once they see me.

Gordon
Uh oh!

Gordon puts the doll in his mouth.

Mr. Blik
Gordon, why did you say Uh oh.

Gordon
Feed me!

Mr. Blik puts Gordon on his shoulders and Gordon bite his head.

Mr. Blik.
Ouch!

Mr. Blik Puts Gordon down.

Gordon
Hold Me!

Mr. Blik Puts Gordon on his right shoulder and Gordon burps.

Mr. Blik
Hmm, somthing must be in your mouth.

Gordon runs off.

Mr Blik finds a robot.

Mr. Blik
Oh I really want that!

At the house.

Mr. Blik.
Okay let me open this toy.

Mr. Blik.
Yes, we finally have something to play with.

Waffle
Woo hoo, we have a toy.

Mr. Blik.
Nice try Baby bro, but it is all mine.

Mr. Blik
Oh I need to go to the bathroom!

Waffle
(Sobbing)

Gordon
Don’t cry Waffle, Here is a plunger. Hit him with it.

Waffle goes to the bathroom.

Mr. Blik.
Who is a good boy, Blik is a good boy!

Waffle hits Blik.

Mr. Blik.
Ouch!

Waffle
That’s what you get for not letting me play with your Robot!

Hovis.
What is all the nonsense!

Waffle points at mr. Blik.

Waffle
Blik won’t let me play with his doll!

Mr. Blik.
Waffle! It’s a Robot!

Hovis.
Blik go to your room and stay there until you think about what you did!

Gordon.
Here you go Kimberly. A teddy bear doll for you!

Kimberly
Oh Gordon, thank you.

Human Kimberly kisses Gordon.

Blik.
I caught you Gordon.

Gordon
Actually, Bilk, I want you to meet Human Kimberly. She is my girlfriend.

Waffle.
Woo hoo! Human Kimberly, it’s very nice to meet you!

Blik.
Okay Gordon, I won’t be mad this time!
