I know the unknown songs such as Like the Wind, Light the Lanterns, Everyone Knows That, etc. However though, there are 2 that actually got me interested because well... let's just say I heard a specific part of the lyrics of the first song that got me interested:
Your Eyes: This sounds like a 2000s Italo-dance song of sorts about some guy who's missed someone he used to be with sometime ago. He talks about how that person used to smile & how they danced together. However though, he doesn't say anything about the person being a girl throughout the song like usual. In fact, only one piece of the lyrics actually "reveals" any sort of gender. Ok, maybe this is just some weird accent stuff, but I think he said "guy". If he really did say guy & I'm not going crazy, presumably this is some bi/gay(more likely the latter considering bisexuals are likely to find love of the opposite gender eventually(and that's IF they can), but who knows?)guy singing this to his male crush. Being a gay guy myself, it really caught me off-guard & felt like it could've been something I could possibly relate to.
And then there's the "sequel", Understand Commitment: Well, if this song's lyrics are to be believed, then presumably his crush rejected him... possibly because his crush, unlike the signer, isn't gay, or he probably is & already got a boyfriend. Who knows, we never really hear about the messages that the singer got. Considering how common homophobia is, I would certainly believe that this happened to the singer in real life(like, seriously, I feel like he wrote these 2 songs himself because they sound way too personal for the time these came out).
Not really sure if it's the case, but that's the best theory I can think of. I mean, if it's true then it could possibly be why we don't know who sang it. Presumably he became a reclusive person after the rejection, to the point of wanting to avoid being interviewed at all costs. I mean, gay men are still far more likely to get shunned than lesbians, so it's certainly possible. I suggest watching this video here, which might as well be additional reasons as to why we don't know who sang it.
