when i was a kid, this was probably around 2007-2009, i used to play this i-spy-esque (not an actual ispy game) game on my grandma's computer about a mouse that went to paris, had a restaurant, and had to go to all these other restaurants in order to get ingredients (?). but the general premise is going to these places and finding things there. I remember one level was in a chinese restaurant, and another was on some stairs? i believe? it was on a window's computer and i remember the desktop icon was a piece of like cartoon swiss cheese. i played this game religiously and was just wondering if anyone knew anything about what it could be? i've looked on old game lists and the like.
Sorry, it's been a year and I literally just remembered making this post LOL
This game is what comes up when I try to find this game, but it definitely is NOT this. This Rat and Louie game is from 2017, I would've been playing my game in the early to mid 2000's. My grandmother had a windows xp desktop computer, and a lot of bootleg type games on there; I also distinctly remember a Harry Potter bootleg and a Haunted Mansion type game. There wasn't any minigames or anything, it was all i-spy type gameplay.
I remember that you would go into different restaurants, and there were cutscenes where the restaurant owners would talk to you; there was a Chinese restaurant that I'm sure was very racist and if I remember correctly, another place with very snobby French cook with a fat cat that wanted to eat you. Another place was a back alley or maybe a sewer. I can see it clearly in my head what it looked like. There were multiple tan colored french style buildings, with a set of stairs leading down into where the sewer drain was. One of the objects you had to find in the Chinese restaurant was a potted plant.
I've been trying to find this game for YEARS lol and I cannot find anything. Unfortunately I can't just ask my Grandma, as she now has memory loss issues and barely remembers my name, let alone an obscure bootleg game she downloaded on her desktop 20 years ago.
