The title is self Explanatory, there was this lost piece of work that was made by Araki for a competition, the prize being that the best one-shot manuscript would be published, Although The Bottle (Araki's submission) was in the final's, It lost the competition and thus never was published, the only bit of art from the manga itself is one promotional art that appears and mentioned in the 1978 Issue 1# of Weekly Shonen Jump, The story, the rest of the illustrations, and everything is lost.
oh wow, i love how the artwork here looks kinda similar to boingo's manga, as well as the character design and pose literally being exactly the same as cannolo from phf. long time fan of araki's work and this is super cool. the pictures of the article mentioning the bottle r on the jojo wiki- i wonder what else was in that competition?

This is definitly lost forever.
The Hiroshi Motomiya quote of the SJ issue though <3 "Nobody is able to be an independent mangaka unless they have an original story. Among these, I am interested to see an original story by the artist of "The Bottle". Considering his age, one can say that this artist is a very smart and promising newcomer."

still It's best we go and investigate and try to find this, it is the debut work of Araki people! It could be one of the if not one of the rarest One-Shots in our time!

I mean, it's japanese sourced from the 70's and it was a personal submission in a not as pretigious as today prize competition. The work was a unique piece (no copies) that was recieved, judged and probably destroyed. Given the god level fanatism of some fanclubs already existing in Japan, I don't see how us investigating this would give any better result that what was already done.
