I have been trying to find out what this was for years with no success. Back in the early 90s I had an Amstrad CPC 6128+ computer that my parents got for me. I distinctly remember playing one game that feels like it could be educational and may or may not have been released just for the Amstrad. I don't remember too much about it. What I do remember is one part there was a colour map of the world and a hot air balloon on it. The game asked you geography questions that appeared on the screen and to answer the question, I am pretty sure you would have to fly the balloon to the correct position on the map to get the right answer.
I have vague memories of another part of the game where the background was black and might have been a 2D top down outdoor area at night with bushes and trees, the odd street light or park bench, maybe this part was set in a park and may have been maze like. I think you had to move a character around the area, but I don't remember why, maybe to collect items. I can't rule out that part may have came from a different game but might be part of this game. I don't remember enough to be certian.
That is all I do remember about it. I would really like to find it as it is one of my forgotton holy grails from my childhood. Does anyone know what this could be?
